Arman Tsarukyan vs Mateusz Gamrot Analysis<\/h2>\n

Both men have put together win streaks since dropping their respective UFC debuts via decision. Arman Tsarukyan is on a five-fight win streak coming off a dominant performance over Joel Alvarez, while Mateusz Gamrot has won three-straight and is coming off a second-round mauling of Diego Ferreira.<\/p>\n

Tsarukyan got tossed into the deep end in his UFC debut as he was matched up with Islam Makhachev. Since then, he’s put on dominant performance after dominant performance, including his most recent two fights in which he out-landed his opponents a combined 58-7 while finishing both with strikes.<\/p>\n

Gamrot has offered such a unique puzzle as he’s shown to be a very well-rounded finisher and dangerous everywhere. He’s finished all three of his UFC victories.<\/p>\n

This matchup offers a unique opportunity in which Gmarot can pull off the upset against the top prospect in the UFC and steal all the momentum.<\/p>\n

Mateusz ‘Gamer’ Gamrot<\/h3>\n

Gamrot comes into this fight having defeated top-15 mainstay Diego Ferreira as he drained his gas tank with constant pressure and got him out of there in Round 2.<\/p>\n

Gamrot has some very slick striking and attacks all three levels (head\/body\/legs). He’s very defensive and evades combinations skillfully, as he’s only been hit with 2.69 significant strikes per minute since joining the UFC.<\/p>\n

The submission skills of Gamrot make this matchup fascinating as he’s shown the ability to finish guys in many positions with five submission victories on his record. This fight will be intriguing as Gamrot has demonstrated a great gas tank and ability to get better the longer the fight goes while sporting a 100% takedown defense in the UFC. If he keeps this fight on the feet, this fight will be way more competitive than the odds indicate.<\/p>\n

Arman ‘Armenian Animal’ Tsarukyan<\/h3>\n

Tsarukyan has proven himself a legit threat to contend in the Lightweight division as he ran off five-straight victories over some solid competition. Arguably the most impressive and notable part of Tsarukyan’s resume is having competed very well against Islam Makhachev for three rounds.<\/p>\n

Tsarukyan is a well-rounded fighter but has found the most success when getting the fight on the mat and controlling his opponents while hunting finishes.<\/p>\n

Now he’ll look to build off his most recent domination of Joel Alvarez as he matches up with Gamrot. There’s not much doubt that Tsarukyan will attempt to wrestle in this matchup, but the questions will be can he compete with Gamrot on the feet and does he respect the BJJ of Gamrot enough to avoid grappling when dry in round one.<\/p>\n

Both men have shown excellent durability over their careers, and I expect a closer matchup than the odds indicate. I have a hard time seeing either man getting finished early, and I am looking toward some “over” props as I think this fight as a good chance of going pretty deep into the five rounds that it’s scheduled for.<\/p>\n
