Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Ji-Man Choi (+390)<\/h2>\n

I normally wouldn\u2019t suggest taking a batter to hit a home run against Gerrit Cole, but I\u2019ll make an exception for Ji-Man Choi.<\/p>\n

The Rays first baseman is 8-16 career vs Cole with three home runs. An extra advantage is that this game is at Yankee Stadium where the most home runs in the league have been hit, especially with the short porch in right field.<\/p>\n

Choi is a left-handed hitter and I expect him to take full advantage of the short porch. After hitting .193 in May he\u2019s picked it up in June hitting .343 with a home run on June 9.<\/p>\n

Cole was horrendous in his last start against the Twins pitching 2.1 innings and allowing five home runs. I don\u2019t expect Cole to be as bad this time out against the Rays, but he\u2019s definitely not the Gerrit Cole we\u2019ve been used to in years past.<\/p>\n

You can get Choi at +390 but another value play would be Yandy Diaz at +900<\/strong> who is 10-26 all-time against Cole with a home run.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Joey Votto (+300)<\/h2>\n

We\u2019re turning back the clock with Joey Votto who is 13-35 career against Diamondbacks starter Zach Davies. Three of Votto\u2019s five home runs have come in June including one against the Diamondbacks back on June 7.<\/p>\n

Four of his five home runs have come in night games and he\u2019s hitting .244 compared to .152 in day games. He\u2019s hitting .353 in 17 at-bats against the Diamondbacks this season as well. Davies last start actually came against the Reds and he was solid allowing three earned runs in six innings pitched.<\/p>\n

Votto went 2-4 with two RBIs so it\u2019s safe to say Votto has an idea of how to make some solid contact against Davies.<\/p>\n

If this game is close near the end of the game and Votto has an at-bat, don\u2019t be too worried as the Diamondbacks bullpen has given up the 9th most home runs of any bullpen and Votto is 3-11 with a home run against Diamondbacks closer Mark Melancon.<\/p>\n

Get Votto at +300 or consider the Reds current leading home run hitter Brandon Drury at +370<\/strong> who is 3-9 career against Davies.<\/p>\n
