Chicago White Sox vs Los Angeles Dodgers Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox begin what should be a fun three game interleague series from Guaranteed Rate Field on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

The White Sox won the last two games of a three game series to come out on top against the Rays in Tampa Bay. Meanwhile the Dodgers lost in extra innings on Sunday night against the Mets to end up with a split in their four game series.<\/p>\n

Chicago will send young right-handed hurler Michael Kopech to the mound, while Los Angeles turns to reliever turned starter Mitch White. First pitch is scheduled for 8:10 PM EST\/5:10 PST.<\/p>\n

Dodgers White vs White Sox<\/h3>\n

The Los Angeles Dodgers are in a bit of a rough patch as they ended a seven game homestand with a 2-5 record.<\/p>\n

They were swept in three games against the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates and ended up splitting a four game series with the New York Mets after losing 5-4 in the 10th inning on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Lefty Julio Urias gave his team a chance with 5.1 innings of one run baseball but the bullpen couldn’t keep it together late in the game.<\/p>\n

Trea Turner went 2 for 5 with a two run blast. Regardless of recent form, the Dodgers are 35-19 with a two game lead over the San Diego Padres in National League West. The Los Angeles offense is an absolute juggernaut as they rank first in runs scored, first in slugging percentage, 2nd in on-base percentage and sixth in batting average.<\/p>\n

Mitch White draws the start for the Dodgers, he has a 4.79 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across eight appearances, the last three being starts. He took his first loss of the season on Wednesday as he allowed three runs in five innings of work.<\/p>\n

White Sox Start Six Game Home Stand<\/h3>\n

After losing four straight games, the Chicago White have won two in row to improve to 25-27 on the season.\u00a0 They defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 6-5 in their last game on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Young slugger Andrew Vaughn went 3 for 5 with two doubles and Luis Robert went 3 for 5 with an RBI double.\u00a0 Lucas Giolito pitched six innings while allowing five runs (3 earned) with two homeruns, but he did manage to get the victory.<\/p>\n

The Pale Hose bats have fallen short of expectations while only scoring 3.65 runs per game.\u00a0 They rank 17th in batting average,\u00a0 27th in on-base percentage and 24th in slugging percentage.\u00a0 The young righty Michael Kopech may be the ace of this rotation, despite all the veteran names that surround him.<\/p>\n

However, he is coming off his worst outing of the season after giving up five earned runs in only three innings in his last start.\u00a0 On the season, he is 1-2 with a 2.20 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across 9 starts and 45 innings of work.<\/p>\n

Chicago White Sox vs Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction<\/h2>\n

The money line is set at -125 for the Los Angeles Dodgers and +105 for the Chicago White Sox with a total of 8.5. Both teams enter this game on cold streaks as the Dodgers have lost five of their last seven and the Pale Hose have lost six of their last nine games.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers lineup is a run scoring machine, first in walks, slugging, OPS and total bases. They are also top five hits, triples, hits, strikeouts…basically you name the category they are top five. Kopech has been solid for Chicago but he may be getting figured out as he got touched up in his last outing.<\/p>\n

After Kopech, it’s the White Sox bullpen that ranks 21st with a 4.19 ERA. Los Angeles should be able to get their fair share of runs. The White Sox will have a good chance to score runs as well as they will face Mitch White. He has a ERA approaching 5.00 and has only lasted five innings once.<\/p>\n

The White Sox bats have underperformed but they do have dangerous hitters who have the ability to put up runs in bunches. With the underwhelming pitching and both lineups loaded with powerful sluggers, I will gladly take over 8.5.<\/p>\n
