Home Run Prop Prediction 1: C.J. Cron (TBD)<\/h2>\n
C.J. Cron has been on fire for the Rockies and heading towards his first all-star game hitting .307 on the year with 13 home runs which is tied for 4th in the MLB.<\/p>\n
He and the Rockies face Trevor Rogers tonight who hasn\u2019t been great sporting a 5.23 ERA and has allowed five home runs in his last three starts.<\/p>\n
Cron has never faced Rogers in his career which some may see as a disadvantage but playing at Coors Field where Cron is hitting .392, and add in the fact nine of his 13 home runs have come there, I think we\u2019re in good shape.<\/p>\n
Cron is hitting .273 against lefties and four of his home runs have come against lefties in 44 at-bats compared to nine home runs coming in 145 at-bats against right handed pitchers.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s hit a home run once every 14 at-bats or so on the season so far and it\u2019s been 12 since his last. The numbers are in our favor for Cron to blast another home run out of Coors Field.<\/p>\n
Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Kolten Wong (+810)<\/h2>\n
With our long shot home run bet, we\u2019re going to take a look at Kolten Wong going up against Kyle Hendricks who he has tons of experience against. He\u2019s 18-50 with six extra base hits including a home run.<\/p>\n
Wong isn\u2019t known for his power but he did have a career high in home runs last season with 14 in 445 at-bats which is one every 31 at-bats. He has three this season in 161 at-bats which is far behind his pace last season.<\/p>\n
He bats .255 on the road compared to .179 at home and two of his three home runs have come on the road. He had the day off yesterday so he should be refreshed and ready to go after the Brewers dropped a winnable game last night.<\/p>\n
For +810 we get solid odds for a batter who is very comfortable going against Hendricks. Obviously it\u2019s a long shot, but specific metrics are in our favor for him to hit a home run out of Wrigley Field.<\/p>\n
