Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Manny Machado (+385)<\/h2>\n
Manny Machado has only three hits in his last 18 at-bats and he\u2019s presented with a favorable matchup tonight in Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright going 4-14 with a home run in his career.<\/p>\n
Machado is putting up MVP like numbers on the season hitting .353 with eight home runs. He hits .386 at night with six of his eight home runs coming during night games as well, opposed to hitting .306 during the day.<\/p>\n
The Padres are on the road tonight where Machado doesn\u2019t hit as great as he does at home, but for a potential MVP candidate who has power to hit a home run at +385, give me Machado. It also helps that Wainwright has allowed a home run in each of his last three starts.<\/p>\n
Home Run Prop Prediction 2: J.D. Davis (+660)<\/h2>\n
This pick is more of a long shot but it\u2019s almost a given that at least one Mets slugger will hit a home run out of Citi Field tonight as Nationals starter Patrick Corbin is 1-7 on the year with a 6.30 ERA and six home runs allowed so far on the season.<\/p>\n
We get +660 odds on J.D. Davis who has impressive numbers against Corbin going 10-32 with four home runs. The reason why the odds are probably so great is because Davis isn\u2019t an everyday player. If Mets Manager Buck Showalter is paying attention to the matchups, he\u2019ll get Davis in the lineup tonight.<\/p>\n
Davis\u2019s season stats reflect that of a bench player, but he does posses some power hitting 22 home runs in 2019, but has fallen off since hitting only 12 home runs in 156 games played after that time.<\/p>\n
The Mets bats as a team have been hot as of late and that can become contagious in the clubhouse. Obviously pay close attention to make sure Davis is in the lineup come game time and if he is, consider taking him to hit a home run at +660.<\/p>\n
