It’s Thursday meaning it’s a travel day for the MLB leaving us with only three night games to pick a home run hitter from. WagerTalk content contributor Kyle Kargel provides his home run prop picks and predictions for Thursday, May 19 with odds provided by FanDuel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Daulton Varsho (+390)<\/h2>\n

Daulton Varsho isn\u2019t a name many know about outside of Arizona but he possesses enough power to consider in this short night slate of MLB action.<\/p>\n

He goes up against Cubs starter Marcus Stroman who he\u2019s never faced before which can work in a hitters advantage sometimes.<\/p>\n

All six of his home runs this year have come against right handed pitching and he has better batting metrics on the road than at home with four of his six home runs hit on the road and hitting .279 on the road compared to .227 at home.<\/p>\n

Stroman has been good as of late but is known to get off track every now and then and we\u2019ve seen that this season as he has a 5.13 ERA.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Jose Altuve (+530)<\/h2>\n

The Astros as a team have a big opportunity to put up a ton of runs on the board tonight against the Rangers as Texas starting pitcher Glenn Otto has allowed four home runs in 18.1 innings pitched and in total has a 6.38 ERA.<\/p>\n

Why not keep riding the Jose Altuve home run train as he\u2019s hit five home runs in his past 10 games and currently riding a five game winning streak.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll get more value with Altuve\u2019s odds at +530 than you would with Jordan Alvarez (+320) or Kyle Tucker (+400) but you can take a shot on them as well!<\/p>\n
