Rangers vs Eintracht Frankfurt Analysis<\/h2>\n

This year\u2019s Europa League final takes place in Seville on Wednesday, pitting Scottish giants Rangers against German side Eintracht Frankfurt in a matchup that not many predicted just a few short months ago.<\/p>\n

Barcelona and RB Leipzig were the clear front runners to win this year\u2019s competition but were ousted by Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers respectively over successive rounds in what were major surprise upsets.<\/p>\n

All Or Nothing For Rangers<\/h3>\n

With arch-rivals Celtic reclaiming the Scottish throne this season with a superb season under new boss Ange Postecoglou, it\u2019s now all-or-nothing for a Rangers team here looking to lift their first piece of silverware of the season.<\/p>\n

Rangers have a Scottish Cup final to look forward to on Saturday against Hearts, but as big of an occasion as that is, it\u2019s absolutely dwarfed by the Europa League final against Frankfurt which Rangers will no doubt have circled as the number one priority for this season.<\/p>\n

Frankfurt\u2019s Less-than-Stellar Finals Record<\/h3>\n

Despite an epic European campaign this season which saw Frankfurt knock out West Ham, Real Betis and claim a statement win against Barcelona all in quick succession, Eintracht Frankfurt doesn’t have the best record in major cup finals this millennium, losing three of their four appearances since 2000.<\/p>\n

That record is offset here however by their tremendous record against Scottish opposition in Europe, never having lost to a team from Scotland over their history so far (W3, D1).<\/p>\n

Europa League Final Prediction<\/h2>\n

This should be an incredibly close match with both teams having such vulnerabilities this season, it\u2019s really anybody\u2019s cup to win.<\/p>\n

Because of that, we have to look towards taking Rangers here catching a headstart on the +0.25 handicap line as 90 minutes may well not be enough to separate these two sides.<\/p>\n

Rangers rank top-ten in opponent shots allowed in the Europa League this season and haven\u2019t allowed any more than one goal since all the way back in March against FK Crvena Zvezda, a tie in which they were well in command of from the first leg and took their foot off the gas in game two.<\/p>\n

Expect this one to be a close encounter and take the headstart with Rangers in this year\u2019s Europa League final.<\/p>\n
