It’s Thursday which means a shorter MLB slate for the day including only four night games. Sportsmemo content contributor Kyle Kargel provides his home run prop predictions and picks for Thursday, May 12 with odds provided by FanDuel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Freddie Freeman (+490)<\/h2>\n

Freddie Freeman hasn\u2019t hit a home run since April 20th and tonight presents the perfect opportunity to smack one out as he goes up against a familiar foe in Zach Wheeler.<\/p>\n

In his career Freeman is 21-48 with two home runs and eight RBIs. Freeman leads the Dodgers in batting average at .315 (.355 in May) so we know he can get the bat on the ball and Wheeler has been less than impressive this season sporting a 1-3 record and a 4.10 ERA.<\/p>\n

At +490 we have a solid opportunity to cash in tonight especially with such a short night slate.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Hunter Dozier (+490)<\/h2>\n

The Royals were able to halt their 3-game losing streak last night with an impressive 8-2 win over the Rangers in Arlington. Whit Merrifield was able to smash one out and tonight we\u2019ll look to more of a power hitter in Hunter Dozier to hit a home run.<\/p>\n

The Royals picked up Dozier for his power but he only has three home runs on the season and has yet to hit one this month. He has two multi-hit games in his last four and tonight is presented a juicy matchup with Rangers pitcher Taylor Hearn.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s given up three home runs in his five starts and has a ballooning 6.53 ERA. Look for the Royals to keep it up tonight including a bounce back performance from Dozier who went 0-4 hitting last night.<\/p>\n
