Yankees vs Blue Jays Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees will play the first of two games that will be played in less than 24 hours on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.<\/p>\n

The Yankees stuck to their winning ways and took two of three home games from the Texas Rangers. The Blue Jays have hit a rough patch and lost three of four games this weekend in Cleveland against the Guardians.<\/p>\n

Luis Severino will toe the rubber for New York Yankees and be opposed by Yusei Kikuchi for the Blue Jays. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM EST.<\/p>\n

Jays Ready For Revenge<\/h3>\n

The Toronto Blue Jays have lost back-to-back series as they have cooled off considerably since their amazing start to the 2022 season. They will look to get back on track as they take on the Yankees for their third series already this year.<\/p>\n

The Jays got edged out by the Cleveland Guardians 4-3 on Sunday afternoon, dropping their record to 17-13 on the season. Starter Alek Manoah pitched well, only allowing two earned runs in five innings pitched. Leadoff man George Springer went 1 for 3 with an RBI.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays offense looks great on paper but has not translated in-game as they rank 21st with an average of only 3.9 runs per game.<\/p>\n

Starter Yusei Kikuchi’s season has been a mixed bag as he is 1-1 with a 4.35 ERA. He pitched well against these same Yankees last time out tossing six innings.<\/p>\n

Yanks Hottest Team In The Majors<\/h3>\n

The New York Yankees remain baseballs hottest team as the have won 13 of their last 15 games. Pitching has been a strength for this Yankees team as they rank 2nd with an impeccable 2.60 team ERA.<\/p>\n

The New York offense has cooled off a bit since the 11 game winning streak, but they still rank 11th in scoring and 3rd in OPS.<\/p>\n

Their latest victory was a 1-0 victory over the Texas Rangers that upped their record to 20-8. Anthony Rizzo drove in the games only run with an RBI double in the 8th inning. Starting pitcher Nestor Cortes was electric, hurling 7.1 innings of shutout baseball with 11 strikeouts.<\/p>\n

Luis Severino gets the nod for New York, he enters the game with a 2-0 record and 3.75 ERA across five starts. Last time out he lasted only five innings against the Kansas City Royals and allowed three earned runs on seven hits.<\/p>\n

Yankees vs Blue Jays Prediction<\/h2>\n

The New York Yankees are favored with the money line set at -180, while the Toronto Blue Jays are +155 with a total of 7.5. The Yanks have had the advantage so far, winning four of their first seven head-to-head matchups.<\/p>\n

New York is also the hotter team, winning 13 of their last 15 games while Toronto is only 2-5 in their last seven games. However I still can’t get there on backing either side in this contest, especially with the current price. Kikuchi was spot on in his last start against the Yankees but I still don’t trust him fully.<\/p>\n

I also like the idea of the New York bats getting a 2nd look at him in such a short span of time. We get the Yankees team total at 4.5 +120 in a more friendly hitting environment.<\/p>\n

There are much better plays on the board but could do worse than needing 5 Bronx Bomber runs at plus money.<\/p>\n
