The Mavs are back home and they need to figure out this Suns offense as soon as possible. Tip off is scheduled for 9:30 PM EST.<\/p>\n Mavericks Must Win<\/h3>\nIf the Dallas Mavericks are going to turn this series around they will need to win both of their home games. The Mavs played well in Game 2 but allowed the Suns too many open shots and ultimately lost 129-109.<\/p>\n Luka Doncic led the way once again in all three categories with 35 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Reggie Bullock added 16 points and Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in with 11. The Mavs did shine at home during the regular season with a 29-12 record.<\/p>\n However, the Mavs supporting cast needs to do more to assist Luka Doncic if they stand a chance to win a game in this series. Not only that, they need to ratchet up their defense slow down the outstanding Suns shooters that have scored 121 and 129.<\/p>\n Suns Scorching Hot Offense<\/h3>\nAfter taking some time to shake off rust against the New Orleans Pelicans, Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns are rolling. The Suns needed a huge 2nd half to get the win in Game 2.<\/p>\n They were trailing at halftime but outscored Dallas 31-23 in the third quarter and 40-26 in the 4th to ultimately win the game 129-109. Devin Booker led the way with 30 points but Chris Paul wasn’t very far behind with 28 points of his own.<\/p>\n Phoenix has been shooting the lights out in the post-season, they have shot 50% or better from the field in each and every playoff game. You can see they are playing with the utmost confidence.<\/p>\n They also know that nothing is guaranteed in the post-season, so expect them to try and put their foot on the Mavs throat and take a 3-0 lead in the series.<\/p>\n Mavericks vs Suns Prediction<\/h2>\nThe Phoenix Suns are favored by one point with a total of 218.5. It’s fascinating that the Mavericks are getting a 6 point bump for being at home after losing the way they did in Phoenix. Dallas is much better at home but they simply cannot contain both Devin Booker and Chris Paul.<\/p>\n Luka Doncic has really performed well, however the Mavs are getting nothing from their supporting cast. I was giving a hard look at the Suns team total over 109.5.<\/p>\n While I still love that play, if you are going to give me the Suns at a pick’em, I have to roll with that.
