The Minnesota Timberwolves had an 11 point lead heading into the 4th quarter but the Grizzlies ultimately came our on top by the final score of 111-109.<\/p>\n If the T’wolves can win tonight they will force a Game 7 to be played on Sunday. The winner of this series will move on to face the Golden State Warriors. Tip off is scheduled for 9:00 PM EST<\/p>\n Morant Patrols the Paint<\/h3>\nJa Morant was quite for the first three quarters of Game 5 and the Twolves had built a double digit lead. With seconds left in the 3rd quarter Morant posterized Malik Beasley with a tremendous slam dunk.<\/p>\n The dunk propelled Morant to score 18 of his 30 points in the 4th quarter. Morant hasn’t had the greatest series as all of his numbers are below his regular season averages. But what makes the Grizz dangerous is that they play team basketball and don’t rely on any individual player.<\/p>\n The Grizzlies will be looking to head home regardless, but they much rather play Game 1 against the Warriors as opposed to Game 7 against the Timberwolves.<\/p>\n Wolves Letting Series Slip Through Their Fingers<\/h3>\nThis could have been a clinching game for Minnesota instead of Memphis. The Timberwolves led 85-74 lead coming into the 4th quarter only to fall apart down the stretch.<\/p>\n The Twolves tied the game with a three-pointer with only 4 seconds remaining in regulation. On the final play of the game, Anthony Edwards went all in for a steal and it allowed Ja Morant a wide open path to a game winning layup.<\/p>\n Karl Anthony-Towns led the way with 28 points and 14 rebounds on 7 for 14 from the field. However he also had 7 of the Timberwolves 22 turnovers. The turnovers come with inexperience in the post-season. Minnesota will need to tighten things up if they want to push the Grizzlies to Game 7.<\/p>\n Timberwolves vs Grizzlies Prediction<\/h2>\nThe Memphis Grizzlies are favored by 1 point with the total set at 229. The Twolves have had multiple opportunities to be the team in the drivers seat and fallen short, but that comes with inexperience in the NBA post-season.<\/p>\n There will be a ton of pressure on Karl Anthony-Towns and Anthony Edwards to deliver huge performances once again. History is not on the Timberwolves side, road favorites in Game 6 have covered 28 of 39 games since the 2004-2005 season.<\/p>\n No 1st round series has gone 7 games this season and I don’t think this one will either. During the regular season, if you told me I could get the Grizzlies as one point favorites against the Timberwolves in a meaningful game I would have pounced.
