White Sox vs Royals Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox will both be out to win this three game American League Central divisional series on Thursday afternoon. Chicago snapped an eight game losing streak yesterday with a 7-3 victory, improving their record to 7-10.<\/p>\n

The Royals have now lost five of their last six games, resulting in a 6-10 record. Today’s starting pitching matchup features Brad Keller for Kansas City and Michael Kopech for Chicago. We have early first pitch set for 2:10 PM EST.<\/p>\n

Eight is Enough<\/h3>\n

The Chicago White Sox finally were able to end their losing streak at eight games with last night’s 7-3 victory. Starting pitcher Dylan Cease threw six strong innings while striking out nine and allowing only two earned runs.<\/p>\n

Kendall Graveman picked up his first save of the season by throwing the two shutout innings and striking out four. Left fielder Andrew Vaughn went 2 for 4 with a homerun and four RBI.<\/p>\n

The White Sox bats have disappointed on the season as a whole, ranking only 23rd in the league in OPS. Pale Hose starting pitcher Michael Kopech has been nearly flawless in three starts, throwing 14 innings and only allowing one run. Kopech will trouble if he can nearly this effective pitching deeper into games.<\/p>\n

Royals Ace Falls Short<\/h3>\n

The Kansas City Royals will be looking to bounce back after yesterday’s 4-0 victory over Seattle loss and win this three game series over the White Sox.<\/p>\n

Former Cy Young award winner Zack Greinke pitched well enough to get a no-decision, throwing six innings and allowing three earned runs. Reliever Collin Snider took the loss as he allowed two earned runs in only two-thirds of an inning.<\/p>\n

Whit Merrifield was the only player that could be considered an offensive standout with a two RBI single. This KC lineup has really struggled as they are third worst in OPS at .596 while only scoring an average of 3.25 runs a game.<\/p>\n

Royal starter Brad Keller has an 0-2 record but has actually been solid. He has a 2.55 ERA allowing only five earned runs across 17.2 innings pitched.<\/p>\n

White Sox vs Royals Prediction<\/h2>\n

The money line is set at -180 for the Chicago White Sox and +155 for the Kansas City Royals. The total is a sign of recent times, being set at only 6.5.<\/p>\n

These two starting pitchers have the opposing lineups numbers, but a 6.5 doesn’t leave you much for wiggle room on any unders.<\/p>\n

\\I was going to look towards Kopechs over for strikeouts. The number is set at 6.5 and while he does dominate the Royals they also don’t strikeout very often.<\/p>\n

It looks like the Pale Hose bats came around yesterday with those seven runs. Let’s ride with Kopech and the White Sox laying .5 in the first five innings and keep the bullpens out of it.<\/p>\n
