Mallorca vs Alaves Analysis<\/h2>\n

Mallorca comes off a really sub-par performance over the weekend against Elche losing 3-0 while Alaves pulled off a surprising 1-0 home win against Rayo Vallecano to give themselves a lifeline in the battle against relegation.<\/p>\n

Mallorca won the reverse fixture 1-0 against Alaves in the Estadio Mendizorrotza back in August through a late Fer Nino goal.<\/p>\n

Julio Velazquez Takes Reins At Alaves<\/h3>\n

Julio Velazquez, who took charge of bottom-placed club Alaves earlier this month, has an absolutely gargantuan task on his hands in terms of getting his side out of the relegation dogfight this season as Alaves remain rooted firmly to the bottom of the table.<\/p>\n

However, with their 1-0 home win last time out against Rayo Vallecano (which was only Velazquez\u2019s second game in charge at the club), there has been some grounds for optimism at Alaves and they\u2019ll no doubt hope another victory here on Tuesday evening can propel them onto a run which will see them escape the relegation battle this season.<\/p>\n

Things Not So Sunny In Mallorca<\/h3>\n

While playing in one of the Balearic Islands might initially seem appealing, it\u2019s been anything but sunny in Mallorca this year.<\/p>\n

Like Alaves, Mallorca have struggled immensely this season and have been forced to change managers themselves over the past few weeks, appointing Javier Aguirre as new boss.<\/p>\n

However, with just one win in three games under him personally and a longer term one win in nine games stretching back to February, eight of which were outright losses, there\u2019s been little room for optimism at Mallorca as they still have Barcelona and Sevilla on deck to close out the season.<\/p>\n

Mallorca vs Alaves Prediction<\/h2>\n

This is set to be an extremely close game here on Tuesday and under those conditions we\u2019re happy to side with the underdog Alaves in this one catching +0.5 on the handicap line.<\/p>\n

Alaves has a terrible road record in Mallorca, not having won on the island since the 1974\/75 season and never in top flight league action.<\/p>\n

Yet history aside, there\u2019s no question Alaves have benefited more from that new manager bounce than Mallorca have as they snapped a seven-game winless run on Saturday in what was a very solid performance from the \u2018Babazorros\u2019 and they\u2019ll hope they can build on that here against a Mallorca side that have given up the second-most goals per game out of any team in the league in 2022 so far.<\/p>\n

Take Alaves on the +0.5 handicap<\/strong> on Tuesday to avoid defeat against Mallorca in La Liga.<\/p>\n
