Guardians vs White Sox Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Chicago White Sox kick off a four game series at Progressive Field in Cleveland against a familiar foe with a new name in the Guardians.<\/p>\n

The Guardians record now stands at 4-5 after suffering a three game sweep at the hands of the white hot San Francisco Giants.<\/p>\n

The White Sox are 6-3 after taking two of three games against a tough Tampa Bay squad and clinching their third straight series victory.<\/p>\n

The ace Shane Bieber will toe the rubber for Cleveland, while seasoned vet Dallas Keuchel gets the ball for Chicago. Last season the head-to-head series was a virtual tie with the White Sox winning the the series 10-9.<\/p>\n

White Sox Remain Consistent<\/h3>\n

The Chicago White Sox entered the 2022 season with high expectations after winning the A.L. Central title last season.<\/p>\n

So far so good as they locked their third straight 2-1 series victory against the Tampa Bay Rays for a 6-3 start. Chicago had one of the most potent offenses in the league last season, ranking 7th in runs scored and 5th in batting average.<\/p>\n

The White Sox continue to win despite missing hitters like Yoan Moncada & A.J. Pollock and pitchers like Lance Lynn & Lucas Giolito to injury. Veteran south paw Dallas Keuchel is there to add stability to the back end of the rotation, but may see an expanded role without Lynn and Giolito.<\/p>\n

Last season wasn’t an impressive one for Keuchel, he posted a 9-9 record and 5.28 ERA across 162 innings pitched. In his first start this season he threw five innings and allowed three runs on six hits.<\/p>\n

Can’t Guard Home Field<\/h3>\n

The Cleveland Guardian hitters got off to a hot start and scored 45 runs in their first six games. The Guardians offense came crashing back down to earth this weekend at home against the San Francisco Giants. Cleveland only managed to score four runs, getting swept in the three game series.<\/p>\n

The Giants outscored the Guardians 16-4 in the three games. The excellent Giant pitching cooled off early-season sensation Steven Kwan.<\/p>\n

Superstar Jose Ramirez continues a sensational start with a .457 batting average and league leading 15 RBIs thus far. The Guardians look to their top arm Shane Bieber to stop the bleeding.<\/p>\n

Bieber has thrown a combined ten innings in two starts allowing three earned runs on four hits and three walks. Bieber has held the White Sox current hitters to combined average of only .162. Although top hitters Jose Abreu and Tim Anderson have both had individual success against Bieber.<\/p>\n

Guardians vs White Sox Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Cleveland Guardians are favored with money line at -125 and +105 and a total of 7.5. The Guardians have big edge in the starting pitching department, while the White Sox have the hitting advantage.<\/p>\n

Triston McKenzie was the original starter slated for Cleveland and they plugged in Bieber. Keuchels day will come down to his early command of the strike zone.<\/p>\n

Let’s back Bieber with a small play and hope the Guardians bats can string together some early hits and runs.<\/p>\n
