Chicago White Sox vs Seattle Mariners Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Seattle Mariners gear up for game two of a three game series in the Windy City on Wednesday night against the Chicago White Sox.<\/p>\n

The White Sox edged out the Mariners 3-2 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Meanwhile the Mariners dropped their third straight game after winning their first two, leaving them at 2-3 on the season.<\/p>\n

Seattle will get their second look at their newly acquired ace Robbie Ray, while Dallas Keuchel makes his first start of the season for Chicago. These teams split six head-to-head meetings in 2021.<\/p>\n

Scoreless in Seattle<\/h3>\n

The Seattle Mariners were able to win their first two games of the season while only scoring six runs. Since then, they have lost three straight while only managing six runs for a total of only 12 runs in five games.<\/p>\n

It’s still very early in the season, but Seattle currently ranks 28th in runs scored, 29th in batting average at .177 and 27th in slugging percentage at .292.<\/p>\n

You simply cannot win with these numbers, especially in the American League. Starting pitcher Matt Brash looked great in his first start yesterday against the White Sox.<\/p>\n

The right-handed rookie threw 5.1 innings while striking out six and only allowing 4 hits and one free pass.<\/p>\n

The lone bright spot in the offense was Eugenio Saurez, who went 2 for 4 with a solo home run, the only Mariner with multiple hits.<\/p>\n

Cy Young award winner Robbie Ray will get his second start for Seattle. Ray put up a big win on Opening Day, pitching seven innings with five strikeouts while allowing three hits and four walks.<\/p>\n

Keuchel Looks To Keep Pale Hose Rolling<\/h3>\n

The Chicago White Sox got the job done again yesterday in the 3-2 victory over Seattle. They have continued to show the ability to win games with both hitting and pitching.<\/p>\n

Seattle struck first yesterday with a run in the second inning, the Pale Hose answered with a run in the third, sixth and eighth innings.<\/p>\n

Closer Liam Hendricks gave up a in the ninth, but was able to ultimately secure the save for Chicago. Luis Robert led the way for Chicago by going 1 for 3 with a walk, RBI and two runs.<\/p>\n

The White Sox pitching staff has a 2.70 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and .185 opponent batting average, all top ten. The White Sox hitters have combined for 19 runs, a .275 batting average and .310 on base percentage, again all top ten in the MLB team rankings.<\/p>\n

Chicago White Sox vs Seattle Mariners Prediction<\/h2>\n

This game is a virtual pick’em with the Mariners at +100, the White Sox at -120 and a total set at 9. Picking a side in this one seems like the definition of a coin flip.<\/p>\n

The White Sox have the hotter bats and are in better form. However with Ray starting for the Mariners, runs could be hard to come by for Chicago. Robbie Ray has owned the White Sox hitters.<\/p>\n

They have combined for .152 batting average and .437 OPS in 56 career at bats with only 1 home run. Mitch Haniger and Eugenio Saurez have had some success against Keuchel, but the Mariners bats are ice cold so he should be able to limit them. This game seems to have under written all over it.<\/p>\n
