Both teams have identical records of 35-45 with two games to play.<\/p>\n The Wizards are coming off a 118-103 loss in Atlanta against the Hawks. The Knicks also lost their last game 110-98 at home against the Brooklyn Nets.<\/p>\n The winner of this game takes the regular season series after they split the first two games, both being played at Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n Knicks In No Man’s Land<\/h3>\nAt 35-45 the New York Knicks are out of the playoffs and won’t be in a good position going into the NBA Draft Lottery. What killed the Knicks season was a 3-17 run that went from January 17th to March 4th.<\/p>\n After playing their best game of the season and beating the Orlando Magic 118-88, they fell short in their most recent game against the Brooklyn Nets.<\/p>\n Alec Burks led the team with 24 points, while R.J. Barrett led the team in assists with 7 dimes. The Knicks will return home to play their final game of the season against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday evening. Big man Mitchell Robinson has already been ruled out for this game with an “illness”.<\/p>\n Wizards Play Spoiler<\/h3>\nThe Washington Wizards are eliminated from post-season contention but have enjoyed playing the role of spoiler in the two games prior to losing in Atlanta. They beat the Dallas Mavericks 135-103 and the Minnesota Timberwolves 132-114.<\/p>\n Kristaps Porzingis led his team in both points and rebounds in the loss to Atlanta with 26 and 18 respectively.<\/p>\n However Porzingis and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will join Kyle Kuzma on the bench as both have already been ruled out for tonight’s contest.<\/p>\n I would assume they all sit in the final game in Charlotte as well. The Wiz rank 25th in defensive scoring but have stepped it up recently. However it will be hard to gage the level of effort from backups turned starters.<\/p>\n Washington Wizards vs New York Knicks Prediction<\/h2>\nThe New York Knicks are favored by 3.5 points with a total of 223. To be completely honest I don’t have a strong opinion on a side or total in this one.<\/p>\n Neither team has something to play for and the Wiz have essentially waved the white flag already. There are way better angles out there to profit on tonight, don’t waste your money banging your head against a wall.
