Manchester United vs Leicester City Analysis<\/h2>\n

Prior to the start of the 2021-22 Premier League season, many people would have assumed Manchester United vs Leicester City in April would be a genuine top-four battle.<\/p>\n

However, that high preseason expectation for both teams simply hasn\u2019t panned out with Leicester sitting in tenth and United in sixth in the table right now, with both clubs losing ground in the race for Europe.<\/p>\n

That 4-2 loss to Leicester in October hastened the end of former United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Leicester has won the last three meetings between these two teams.<\/p>\n

The Foxes Sharpening Up<\/h3>\n

It was only last month that Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers looked under insurmountable pressure at the club, getting dumped out of the FA Cup (a cup they won the previous year) by lowly Championship side Nottingham Forest in a 4-1 blowout.<\/p>\n

That embarrassment was enough for Rodgers to take the players to task in the media calling it a downright \u201cawful performance\u201d and that he was embarrassed for both himself and the fans watching the lackluster display given by the players.<\/p>\n

Whatever the intended effect of that pep talk was meant to have it certainly worked as the Foxes have now won three of their last four in the Premier League overall and find themselves as joint favorites to lift this year\u2019s Europa Conference League trophy as they move into the quarter-finals of that competition.<\/p>\n

Red Devils Continue to Look Disjointed<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s been a less-than-spectacular start to 2022 for the Red Devils thus far.<\/p>\n

What started with optimism for the club with what appeared to be a tighter defensive shape under new boss Ralf Rangnick has transformed United into a team that often looks confused and disjointed in what it\u2019s trying to accomplish on the field.<\/p>\n

As testament to this, what used to be an absolute goal machine team under former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has now scored more than one goal in just two of their last nine competitive home games since the start of 2022, and with a defense as fragile as United have right now, that lack of goals is a serious concern for them moving forward.<\/p>\n

Manchester United vs Leicester City Prediction<\/h2>\n

While goals have been somewhat of an issue to come by for United over recent home games, we nevertheless like them to get on the scoresheet on Saturday against a team in Leicester that have given up a massive 2.08 goals per game to opponents away from home this season.<\/p>\n

The data backs those figures up for Leicester as well as only Norwich and Leeds have given up more expected goals against than Leicester have in the EPL this season.<\/p>\n

But just like their opposition in this one, United have also been incredibly poor at the back this year, ranking bottom half in the league on both actual goals against and expected goals against on the season.<\/p>\n

No team has scored or conceded more goals than United have after the 75th minute in games this season and with both offenses in good form right now, we\u2019re taking the \u2018Both Teams to Score – Yes<\/strong>\u2019 prop at -150 as the play for Saturday in the game between Leicester and Manchester United.<\/p>\n
