The Hornets are looking to finish a five-game homestand with a victory after losing their last game 121-106 to the New York Knicks. The Jazz are looking to right ship after being beat by the Brooklyn Nets and torched by the Boston Celtics.<\/p>\n The Jazz prevailed at home 112-102 in the first head-to-head meeting between these teams. This is an intriguing game to look at from a props perspective based on both teams having such dynamic players.<\/p>\n Hornets vs Jazz Team Totals<\/h3>\nThe Utah Jazz are 4-point road favorites with a total of 228.5 points, setting the Hornets team total at 112.5 and the Jazz at 115.5 points. These teams are complete opposites in terms of pace as the Hornets rank fourth while the Jazz rank 22nd. They are similar in scoring as they rank fifth and sixth respectively.<\/p>\n Charlotte was on an amazing scoring run that has come to a halt, scoring only 106 points in each of their last two games. The Hornets are at a huge disadvantage on the boards as they are dead last in rebounding percentage.<\/p>\n They will be up against a Jazz team led by Rudy Gobert that punishes teams on the glass. The Jazz like to grind teams to a halt with their half court set and while they like to fire three’s, they may be better off pounding the Hornets down low. The Jazz already held them to 102 points, we just need 112 or less to cash this ticket.<\/p>\n Recommendation: Charlotte Hornets’ Team Total Under 112.5 Points<\/strong><\/p>\n I’ve found it hard to gauge Charlotte Hornets player props so far this season, as you never know who will lead the way between Miles Bridges, Lamelo Ball and Terry Rozier. Although Mason Plumlee can be good for an occasional under in almost anything.<\/p>\n Whenever I see Jazz I think Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Gobert had an incredible game last time he faced the Hornets with 23 points and 21 rebounds, going 15 for 16 from the charity stripe. His points + rebounds is set at 28.5 and the over makes all the sense in the world.<\/p>\n However I’m looking more towards Donovan Mitchell. His point total is set at 27.5 and he a total he has cleared in five straight games. Mitchell has put up amazing numbers scoring 37, 30, 36, 37 and 29 points in his last five games. Mitchell did only score 21 last time against the Hornets but I’m expecting a different result here.<\/p>\n Recommendations: To kick off the same game parlay we will start with the two players mentioned above, going with Mitchell to reach 20+ points and Rudy Gobert 20+ points and rebounds.<\/p>\n I’m fully expecting a huge effort from Utah after losing two straight games to contenders. They matchup well with the Hornets, so we utilize the Jazz money line.<\/p>\n To sweeten the pot we will add Royce O’Neale to hit a three-pointer. He didn’t get one two games ago against Brooklyn, but that was the only time he hadn’t hit one in his last 25 games. All four plays together are plus money with +105 odds.<\/p>\n \n |
