The Pacers lost 110-109 on a last second bucket against the Sacramento Kings.<\/p>\n Memphis was also without Ja Morant when they torched the Pacers 135-102 a little over a week ago in Indiana.<\/p>\n No Morant No Problem<\/h3>\nThe Memphis Grizzlies won their sixth out of seven games last night over the Brooklyn Nets, upping their record to 50-23 on the season.<\/p>\n They improved their record to unbelievable 15-2 in games without Ja Morant on the court. The Grizzlies played ultimate team basketball and went to scoring by committee to overcome Brooklyn.<\/p>\n Desmond Bane and De’Anthony Melton each scored 23 points while Dillon Brooks added 21 of his own. Kyrie Irving scored 43 while Kevin Durant scored 35, but it didn’t matter in the end as Memphis prevailed 132-120.<\/p>\n The Grizzlies are fully healthy aside from Morant who has now missed two straight games with a knee injury. He’s participated in practice this week, so he could be a go tonight.<\/p>\n But does it matter against a team like the Pacers, the Grizz seem to thrive regardless. Memphis is one of the highest scoring teams in the league with an average of 115 points a game.<\/p>\n This is mostly due to their breakneck pace that that ranks 3rd in the league. Defensively they are just above average, allowing their opponents to score 109.5 points per game.<\/p>\n New Look Pacers Fall Short Against Trade Partner<\/h3>\nThe Indiana Pacers, newly acquired Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield were excited to face the Sacramento Kings, the team they traded Domantas Sabonis among others too just last month.<\/p>\n However Sabonis would miss the head-to-head matchup with a knee injury. De’Aaron Fox also missed the game for the Kings but the Pacers still lost on a last second tip in by Damian Jones.<\/p>\n Buddy Hield led the Pacers in scoring with 25 points while Tyrese Haliburton dished our 15 assists. Haliburton became the only player this season to record 15 assists while not recording a turnover.<\/p>\n Malcolm Brogdon didn’t play in the game, but isn’t listed on the injury report for tonight. Chris Duarte, Jalen Smith and Isaiah Jackson are also questionable for tonight’s contest.<\/p>\n The Pacers are middle of the pack in scoring with 110 points per game and sit at 24th in defensive scoring with 113 points allowed per game to their rivals.<\/p>\n Memphis Grizzlies vs Indiana Pacers Prediction<\/h2>\nThe Memphis Grizzlies are heavy favorites at home with a spread of 12.5 and a total of 237.5. Both teams have performed well in back-to-back situations, the Pacers are 8-4 against the spread and the Grizzlies are 7-5 ATS.<\/p>\n Both teams are scoring points by the boatload, the Grizzlies have scored 118 points or more in 6 of their last 7 while the Pacers have scored that many in 6 of their last 8.<\/p>\n Over the last 10 games, Memphis is 3rd in pace while the Pacers are 11th. This game just screams over with both teams on a back-to-back that could lead to defensive lapses.<\/p>\n I think you could play the Grizzlies hoping for a blowout, but over is the better play here.<\/p>\n Prediction: Over 238<\/strong><\/p>\n \n |
