Blues vs Rangers Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Rangers beat the Blues 5-3 back on March 2nd and are 3-1 since that win, but will look to bounce back to winning ways here on Thursday after dropping a 5-2 decision against Minnesota on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Rangers and Blues will share the ice for only the second time this season after last week\u2019s 5-3 victory for the Rangers at home.<\/p>\n

Shesterkin Expected Back on Thursday<\/h3>\n

The league\u2019s best goalie is expected to return on Thursday night as the Rangers look to rebound off a poor .821 SV% 5 goals allowed effort by Alexandar Georgiev on Tuesday against the Minnesota Wild.<\/p>\n

While Georgiev has struggled this season, Shesterkin most certainly hasn\u2019t as the Russian has been absolutely phenomenal this year, posting a +40.56 GSAA average (the next best in the league is Jusse Saros at +22.98) and a .942 SV% also which makes him the clear front-runner for this year\u2019s Vezina Trophy.<\/p>\n

The Blues Failing to Execute<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s been a tough week for the St.Louis Blues who have simply failed to get going offensively over recent games.<\/p>\n

Averaging just 1.34 goals per game over their last three starts, the Blues just haven\u2019t been able to execute offensively of late, and that\u2019s arguably been a problem for them all year.<\/p>\n

The Blues are 17th on the season on total number of shots per game and 23rd on total number of power plays also, and will need to generate a lot more than that if they\u2019re to come away with the win in this one.<\/p>\n

Blues vs Rangers Prediction<\/h2>\n

The under arguably presents the best value here between the Rangers and Blues on Thursday.<\/p>\n

In Shesterkin, we\u2019ve already got the league\u2019s best goalie starting in this game, but facing him will be Ville Husso who has been red-hot himself this year.<\/p>\n

The Finnish goalie is posting an excellent .938 SV% at home this season, along with the league\u2019s 5th best goals against average also on those goalies with double digit starts at just 2.17 GAA on average (Shesterkin is 1st at 1.93).<\/p>\n

On top of this, neither team has been offensively blessed this season with the Rangers ranking 30th in the league on total scoring chances created this year and the Blues 27th on high danger scoring chances created as well.<\/p>\n

With two excellent goalies between the pipes and two teams struggling up top here, we\u2019re looking at the under tonight<\/strong> between the Rangers and the Blues over in St. Louis.<\/p>\n
