Napoli vs AC Milan Analysis<\/h2>\n

The race for the title is heating up over in Italy with just a single point separating the top three sides in the league as Napoli host AC Milan this weekend with the prize for the winner being a spot at the top of the table come Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Napoli is now unbeaten in eight after a strong run of form saw them claim top spot for a brief period last week while Milan has lost just one game on the road all year.<\/p>\n

Some observers thought the December match between these two should have ended in a draw as Franck Kessie\u2019s late injury-time leveler for Milan was ruled offside for the hosts, in what was a very tight game throughout.<\/p>\n

Bottom Half Troubles for Milan<\/h3>\n

While AC Milan have done well against the top brass in the league this season, they beat Inter in the league last month, drew with Juventus, knocked Lazio out of the cup in a scintillating 4-0 display, they\u2019ve somehow struggled against teams at the bottom of the league this season.<\/p>\n

Recent draws against Udinese and Salernitana, and outright losses to Spezia, all teams occupying 14th or below, have been extremely disappointing for Milan and they\u2019ll no doubt be frustrated they aren\u2019t top of the league given those results.<\/p>\n

Napoli\u2019s Defense Starting to Wane<\/h3>\n

While it\u2019s been an extremely impressive season for the \u2018Gli Azzurri\u2019 this year regarding their overall defense, just 19 goals allowed to opponents all season, a league best 0.69 opponent goals allowed at home and the league\u2019s best expected goals against average also, there nevertheless have been some chinks starting to show in this Napoli defense of late.<\/p>\n

Since February 1st, Napoli have actually averaged 2 goals per game to opponents and are bottom half in the league in terms of overall expected goals against over that same time period as well.<\/p>\n

Napoli vs AC Milan Prediction<\/h2>\n

These two teams have been incredibly hard to split over recent seasons and we can see the same scenario playing out here on Sunday as well.<\/p>\n

The outright draw has cashed in 44.4% of all their games over the last four years and with only goal difference separating the two teams this year as well, we expect another close encounter here this weekend.<\/p>\n

However, instead of going for the outright draw on it\u2019s own, we\u2019re going to try and squeeze a little more value out of this one and take the scoring draw prop, draw with both teams to score at +350, as with both teams looking a little frail defensively right now, we expect both teams to get on the scoresheet in this one. So we’re looking for a 1-1 or 2-2 (or even 3-3, 4-4, etc.) final score in what should be a highly-entertaining matchup between two of the big three on Sunday.<\/p>\n
