Houston Rockets vs Utah Jazz Analysis<\/h2>\n

On the second night of a back-to-back, the Rockets will host the Jazz who are playing their first game in four days. The Jazz has gone 4-1 against the Rockets in their last five matchups and 2-1 against Houston this season.<\/p>\n

Over the past four seasons in this rivalry, the games between the Jazz and Rockets generally stay under the total. The under is 17-6-1 between these two teams over this time.<\/p>\n

Can the Rockets Achieve Liftoff?<\/h3>\n

The Rockets held a slight lead against the Clippers at halftime last night, but they watched their lead turn into a deficit after being outscored 40 to 25 in the 3rd quarter.<\/p>\n

The Rockets are 1-14 in their last 15 games. This probably goes without saying, but the Rockets are not a very good basketball team and they are not showing any signs of life down the stretch. The Rockets will be without young shooting guard Kevin Porter Jr for this matchup and should struggle to score and defend against a stout Utah defense.<\/p>\n

The Right Tune<\/h3>\n

The Utah Jazz are headed in the right direction as they have won seven of their last ten games, including a thrilling victory against the number one seed Suns on Sunday. The Jazz are also well-rested for this matchup as this will only be their third game since the All-Star break.<\/p>\n

Utah is 3-2 in their last five games against the spread and is looking to cover the spread against the Rockets for the third time in four matchups this season. The Jazz avenged a midseason loss to the Rockets with a 34-point whipping when these teams last met on February 14th.<\/p>\n

Houston Rockets vs Utah Jazz Prediction<\/h2>\n

The only way the Jazz lose and do not cover the large spread of 14 points is if they come out flat. However, I do not expect the Jazz to come out flat since they need to gain ground on the Grizzlies to secure the third seed in the Western Conference. The Jazz are ninth in the league in opponents’ points per game, and the Rockets team total is set at 108 points. I like the Rockets’ team total of under 108 points<\/strong> and recommend it as a wager in Wednesday night’s Houston Rockets vs Utah Jazz showdown.<\/p>\n
