Huge game in the NBA Eastern Conference on Monday night as the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds go at it on South Beach. At the time of posting, Miami has opened as a 4-point home favorite over the visiting Bulls, with the total sitting at 221.5 points.<\/p>\n

Heat vs Bulls Analysis<\/h2>\n

Vucevic is listed as a game time decision, but reports are that he will play through a bit of a sprained ankle so expect him to go, but Miami will be without Kyle Lowry and it\u2019s too bad we won\u2019t see these teams at full strength, but that\u2019s not our focus. We\u2019re looking at what the best bet is in this game. Let\u2019s dive in.<\/p>\n

The Healthy Heat<\/h3>\n

This team has such a high ceiling when they are healthy, and they are putting it on display now. They are 8-1 their last 9 games and their only loss was to the Mavericks when they shot 26% from three-point range.<\/p>\n

I am a big fan of teams who have a crunch time guy, but aren\u2019t relying on him in every game throughout the whole game and Miami checks that box. They have had a different leading scorer in four straight games, but when they need a basket down the stretch at the end of a close game Butler is one of the best.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, they aren\u2019t a great cover team as they are 5-4-1 ATS their last 10, and they\u2019re 0-5 ATS in their last five home games. They are sixth in offensive efficiency and fifth in defensive efficiency, so they get it done on both ends of the court. Their big challenge tonight will be, of course\u2026.figure out how to not let Demar DeRozan beat them.<\/p>\n

Derozan’s World<\/h3>\n

I have to start with DeRozan as he\u2019s going for nine-straight games with 31 or more points, and the comeback against Memphis on Saturday was impressive, but they were down that whole game and probably didn\u2019t deserve to win or cover. Before that though, they had won six straight, and they\u2019ve covered seven out of 10 games.<\/p>\n

Chicago can score without question as they are fourth in offensive efficiency, but defense is an issue without Ball and Caruso on the perimeter as they have dropped to 19th in defensive efficiency.<\/p>\n

Heat vs Bulls Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Bulls are getting wins against lesser opponents, but their last four losses have been to Memphis, Phoenix, Philly and Toronto\u2026all playoff teams. Their last nine wins have been to teams below .500, and Bam Adebayo has had two great games out of the All-Star break, and Vucevic can be taken advantage of on defense.<\/p>\n

Shop around and see if you can find -3.5, if not I\u2019ll take the Heat -4 at a smaller wager, but without Ball and Caruso I think Chicago is a bit of smoke and mirrors right now.<\/p>\n
