Lazio vs Napoli Analysis<\/h2>\n

Sixth-place Lazio take on third-place Napoli on Sunday with both teams coming off disappointing Europa League exits in midweek.<\/p>\n

Lazio came up short over two legs against Porto while Napoli, after initially doing well in Spain, suffered a lopsided 4-2 loss at home against Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Napoli ran out easy 4-0 winners in the reverse fixture against Lazio back in November.<\/p>\n

Lazio\u2019s Stadio Olimpico Fortress<\/h3>\n

Despite getting off to a less than ideal start to their Serie A campaign this season, Lazio have now gone five games unbeaten in the league, their longest run of the season so far, and will look to continue that run here in a venue they\u2019ve traditionally been very strong in.<\/p>\n

Lazio have won just two of their last ten meetings against Napoli, but those two wins did come at home for the \u2018Biancocelesti\u2019 and Lazio have lost just one of their last 25 Serie A home games inside this venue as well.<\/p>\n

Napoli’s Chance To Go Top<\/h3>\n

Both Inter and AC Milan slipped up on Friday night in league action, drawing against Genoa and Udinese respectively, so if Napoli can get the win tonight, they\u2019ll go to the top of the Serie A table.<\/p>\n

However, they\u2019ve been given this opportunity before, most notably on Monday night where they suffered a poor 1-1 draw against 17th placed Cagliari and the \u2018Gli Azzurri\u2019 have now drawn two games in succession heading into Sunday\u2019s clash.<\/p>\n

Lazio vs Napoli Prediction<\/h2>\n

Napoli has a fantastic head-to-head record against Lazio over recent seasons, but they\u2019ve started to look a lot more vulnerable of late.<\/p>\n

The visitors have dropped points in four of their last seven road games overall, and that despite three of those four seeing Napoli score first in those games as well.<\/p>\n

While Lazio did have a rough start to the season, they\u2019re beginning to turn things around and look a lot more composed of late, losing just one game at home all season, and this is a rivalry Serie A\u2019s top scorer Ciro Immobile has risen to over recent seasons, netting Lazio\u2019s opening goal in six of the last seven times he\u2019s faced off against Napoli.<\/p>\n
