Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid Analysis<\/h2>\n

Since the calendar flipped to 2022, Rayo Vallecano has only earned one point in La Liga. Real Madrid, meanwhile, sit six points clear at the top of the table but have come off the boil over recent weeks, amassing just three wins over their last six games in all and rank as just the ninth-best team overall in accumulated points over 2022 also.<\/p>\n

Vallecano\u2019s Fall from Grace<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s been an extremely tough few weeks for the home side entering Saturday\u2019s derby game against Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

At Christmas, Rayo Vallecano was occupying a highly coveted Champions League spot and were flying high in the league, but since then it\u2019s been all downhill for the side from the capital.<\/p>\n

Five losses from their last six games in all have seen Vallecano slide down to bottom half in the table and they\u2019ve failed to score in the first-half of any of those six games as well.<\/p>\n

Madrid\u2019s road form has been excellent this season however, winning eight of twelve on the road with a +11 goal difference.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking towards taking goals here on Saturday between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano.<\/p>\n

While Real Madrid have been excellent away from home all year, they have been vulnerable at the back of late, keeping just one clean sheet over their last eight road games across all competitions.<\/p>\n

Similarly, while Rayo Vallecano have been strong at home this season, third-best record in the league overall, recent form has dipped severely for them as they come off a 3-0 beatdown by Osasuna two weeks ago in the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid has averaged 2.04 xG per game this season, pretty much on par with PSG\u2019s numbers, and that is a really impressive total considering the much better defenses Real Madrid have to contend with in La Liga on a weekly basis.<\/p>\n
