Utah Jazz vs Dallas Mavericks Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Jazz and Mavericks will come out of the All-Star break facing each other in a great matchup in the West. Both teams have won six out of their last seven games, and both teams are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games. This should be a great game to watch, but we\u2019re more concerned with how we can profit off of it.<\/p>\n

IT\u2019S LUKA\u2019S WORLD<\/h3>\n

Now that Porzingis has been traded, it appears that Luka Doncic is loving life. He\u2019s scored 45 points in three out of four games which is insane, but he\u2019s also led the team in rebounds and assists in seven straight games.<\/p>\n

Dallas has been playing great defense recently, but the books may have adjusted to take away the under angle on this team as Dallas is 5-5 O\/U their last 10 and 2-3 their last five. The Mavs will also be at a disadvantage with Gobert back in the lineup as they don\u2019t have viable bigs to compete with him, but Brunson and Doncic should be productive as Utah gives up over 45 points a game to guards.<\/p>\n

RUDY GOBERT IS BACK<\/h3>\n

Gobert returned to the lineup against the Lakers and they lost, so that means they\u2019re better off without him, right? Just kidding\u2026the Jazz are happy to have him back as they need to take a run to improve their playoff seeding.<\/p>\n

These teams played each other earlier this season, and although Utah won, the Mavericks were very short handed so I can\u2019t take anything away from that game. The Jazz have been getting torched by small lineups, and that\u2019s what Dallas is right now so this could be a tough matchup for them as Brunson and Doncic will certainly get their shots.<\/p>\n

Utah has another problem as Dallas is the No. 1 team in defending shooting guards so they might have a good shot to slow down Mitchell. The bench is a clear advantage for Utah, but can they cover this 5.5-point spread?<\/p>\n

JAZZ vs MAVERICKS PREDICTION<\/h2>\n

Dallas has some real advantages on the perimeter, and with their style of defense collapsing on the guards as the opponent initiates the offense, I think this game is close throughout and six points is a lot in a game I think Dallas can win outright. Dallas is 4-1 ATS their last five road games, I\u2019ll take Dallas and the points all day in this one.<\/p>\n

From GoldSheet<\/a>: The key for the Jazz has been the return of G Donovan Mitchell who has resumed his role as lead dog on offense by scoring 25 ppg and shooting 48-percent since returning from his concussion. Mitchell was scalding hot before the All-Star break averaging over 27 points in the Jazz last five games. This seems like a spot Mitchell will want to go off again shining in the same light as Luka Doncic. Conley has been lackluster scoring single digits in three straight and Clarkson hasn\u2019t put up over 20 points in a month. Take Mitchell over 25.5 points, which is available at DraftKings.<\/p>\n
