BKFC 94<\/strong> Predictions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Karl Thompson (-122) vs Andy Thornton (+100) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thompson has more experience, and he\u2019s already been through a war where he had to overcome some serious adversity and still found a way to win. He\u2019s also been the distance, so we know the cardio is there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thornton is 39 years old and has only had two fights, although both ended with  first-round wins. He doesn\u2019t look particularly athletic, but he is pretty slick with his striking and should have some success early. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I just think Thompson can eat those shots, fire back with his own, and eventually become too much for Thornton. Thompson is the pick. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaz Corran (-205) vs Mac Bygraves (+166) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corran is incredibly bulky, and it\u2019s hard to believe these guys are competing at the same size. Bygraves doesn\u2019t look nearly as strong, but he\u2019s more flexible and fights from a wider stance.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corran keeps everything tight, likes to work inside, and is much more of a brawler. Both of Corran\u2019s fights have ended in the first round, so his cardio is still a question. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bygraves can take  some shots and has gone the distance several times, so if this gets beyond the first round, he  probably has the cardio advantage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem is I think Corran lands too many big shots early,  does significant damage, and eventually gets the knockout. Bygraves hasn\u2019t faced someone who hits this hard. Corran by KO is the pick. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Mundell (-138) vs Jack Cullen (+114) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mundell has nine BKFC wins with only two losses and has successfully defended his title multiple times. He\u2019s pretty good everywhere\u2014he has knockout power, can comfortably go the distance, moves well, and has a good jab to both the head and body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He lost his last fight to a  much bigger Lorenzo Hunt, but Hunt is a beast, so there\u2019s no shame in that loss. Cullen is more  of a pure boxer with plenty of traditional boxing experience but only one bare-knuckle fight.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s extremely tall and long, but also lanky, and he\u2019s been knocked out a couple of times. This is an interesting clash of styles, and I expect Cullen to have some early success with his jab. Once  the second round starts, though, I think Mundell\u2019s bare-knuckle experience and power begin to take over. Mundell is the pick.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BKFC 94 Main Event: Darren Till (-300) vs Yoel Romero (+230)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Romero is 49 years old and still has legitimate power, but there isn\u2019t much movement left. He\u2019s not particularly fast anymore, and when he isn\u2019t the one leading the action, he can become a stationary target. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Till has looked good since transitioning into boxing and now BKFC, and his  movement should be significantly better in this matchup. He also has plenty of power of his own.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romero hasn\u2019t been knocked out since 2011, so the durability is still there, which could make putting him away difficult. But Till is the more skilled boxer at this stage and should be able to  use his movement and cleaner technique to control the fight. Till is the pick.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
