BKFC Fight Night<\/strong> Predictions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jared Lennon (-205) vs. Dominick Carey (+162) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jared Lennon won his BKFC debut, but his second appearance was a disaster. He came flying\u00a0 forward at the opening bell, got caught by a counter, and was knocked out in just 15 seconds.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I liked was the adjustment he made afterward. In his next fight, Lennon showed much\u00a0more patience, used good footwork and a solid jab, and went the full distance to win a split\u00a0 decision. That showed some real maturity and improvement from his previous performances.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dominick Carey is very difficult for me to trust because he has shown a willingness to quit when\u00a0things get difficult. He took a knee in his first fight, was hit with a couple of illegal strikes that\u00a0 didn’t appear overly damaging, and ended up getting a DQ win after deciding he couldn’t\u00a0continue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his next fight, he landed some big shots early, but once he started taking damage, he\u00a0quit. Then it happened again in his third fight.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Give me the fighter who is learning from his mistakes and making improvements over the fighter\u00a0 who has repeatedly shown that he can mentally check out when things aren’t going his way.\u00a0Lennon is the pick.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexandra Ballou (-194) vs. Sophia Hayes (+158) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexandra Ballou made her BKFC debut in an absolute war. It was a wild, bloody fight where\u00a0she appeared to lose the first and third rounds, but she scored a nice knockdown in the second\u00a0 round that helped her earn a draw. Ballou showed that when she connects, her punches can make\u00a0a visible impact.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sophia Hayes went the distance in her debut and showed better movement than Ballou. She was\u00a0constantly moving and did a decent job of staying out of danger, but she wasn’t landing enough\u00a0offense for me to be overly impressed.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a tough fight because Ballou does more damage when she lands, but her defense is a\u00a0massive concern. She gets hit far too easily. Hayes should have the movement advantage, while\u00a0Ballou has the damage advantage. This is a close fight and not one I’m looking to bet.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nate Ghareeb (-340) vs. Nash Diederichs (+260) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nash Diederichs doesn’t waste any time. His fights don’t get out of the first round because he\u00a0 comes flying forward, throws wildly, and doesn’t worry much about defense. He has one win,\u00a0and that came against an opponent who has never won a fight.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nate Ghareeb has an MMA background and has already competed once in BKFC. He lost a split\u00a0decision, but I thought he put together a good performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His MMA experience should help\u00a0 him stay composed when Diederichs inevitably turns this into chaos. Ghareeb has also shown\u00a0durability throughout his combat sports career.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This matchup is a massive contrast in styles. Ghareeb is experienced, durable and controlled,\u00a0while Diederichs is wild and reckless. I trust Ghareeb to survive the initial storm and take over.\u00a0Ghareeb is an easy pick.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brandon Bushaw (-380) vs. Matt Denning (+280) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brandon Bushaw is a violent bare-knuckle striker, while Matt Denning has shown a tendency to\u00a0get violently knocked out. That’s a pretty bad combination for Denning in this matchup.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denning doesn’t show much head movement or defense, and I don’t see much power in his\u00a0 punches. He tends to throw the same shots repeatedly, allowing opponents to anticipate what’s\u00a0coming, duck underneath and counter him. Bushaw has had mixed results in MMA, but he’s\u00a0looked much better in bare knuckle, putting together a 3-1-1 record.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denning has also been incredibly active, taking a huge number of MMA and boxing fights since\u00a0 February 2025. At some point, all of that accumulated damage matters. Against a violent\u00a0puncher like Bushaw, I don’t like his chances. Bushaw is the pick, and a finish wouldn’t surprise me.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris Perreault (-550) vs. Joe Powers (+380) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This looks like a beatdown. Chris Perreault is better almost everywhere. He’s quicker, stronger\u00a0and the much better boxer.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joe Powers has been competing professionally since 2011, and at this stage he looks old and\u00a0 slow with a limited skill set. His last victory came against an opponent with an 0-18 career record, and in his most recent fight, Powers was knocked out.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There isn’t much to overthink here. Perreault should control the fight from the opening bell and\u00a0overwhelm Powers. Perreault is one of the easiest picks on the card.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kris Moutinho (-300) vs. Michael Hernandez (+230) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no chance I’m laying -300 on Kris Moutinho in his BKFC debut. Moutinho comes from MMA, where he’s built a reputation for being incredibly tough but also getting hit far too often.\u00a0He’s never been someone I would consider an especially polished boxer.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Hernandez already has two BKFC fights under his belt and is 1-1. That experience\u00a0matters because he knows what bare-knuckle fighting feels like, and his lone loss came against\u00a0an opponent with a 5-1 BKFC record.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moutinho’s most recent MMA fight doesn’t make me any more interested in laying this price. He\u00a0spent much of the fight pushing his opponent against the fence and showed very little desire to\u00a0 engage in prolonged striking exchanges. Now he’s being asked to make his bare-knuckle debut as\u00a0a -300 favorite.\u00a0I don’t understand this line. Hernandez at +230 is the pick.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lardy Navarro (-340) vs. Robert Fichtner (+260) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The odds look accurate here. Robert Fichtner has a poor stance, keeps his hands too low and  hasn’t shown much power or quality footwork. His only professional win came in his first fight,  and he’s since lost four boxing matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lardy Navarro isn’t someone I’m expecting to challenge for a championship, but he understands\u00a0how to win fights like this. He crashes the pocket, works effectively on the inside and controls\u00a0 the pace.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fichtner doesn’t appear to have the tools to deal with that type of pressure. Navarro should continually get inside, force Fichtner into uncomfortable exchanges and eventually break him\u00a0 down. Navarro is the clear pick.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tommy Strydom (+132) vs. Joey Gambino (-162) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joey Gambino fought in the UFC 14 years ago and recently resurfaced to beat Kurtis Ellis, but  Ellis has now lost eight straight MMA and boxing matches. I wasn’t particularly impressed with  Gambino in that fight. He stood very upright, kept his hands low, looked uncomfortable and was  slow entering exchanges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tommy Strydom looks like the more polished boxer. He’s lost two straight, but those losses came against quality opponents. Before that, Strydom won his first four BKFC fights, showing\u00a0he can win both by knockout and by decision.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strydom has the better footwork, better defensive guard and a much more trustworthy recent\u00a0 bare-knuckle r\u00e9sum\u00e9. I don’t trust Gambino enough to make him the favorite here. Strydom at +132 is an easy underdog pick for me.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cody Vidal (-132) vs. Joseph Creer (+108) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joseph Creer is going to have a significant height advantage over Cody Vidal. He moves pretty\u00a0well for a bigger fighter when he’s operating on the outside, but things become much more\u00a0difficult for him when opponents get inside. We saw that when Warren was able to close the\u00a0 distance and knock him out.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem is that getting inside is exactly what Vidal wants to do. He doesn’t want to spend\u00a0the fight boxing at range. He wants to crash the pocket, close the distance and work his dirty\u00a0 boxing.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I just think Vidal may have trouble consistently getting into that range without eating punches on\u00a0 the way in. Creer’s height and reach should allow him to establish the jab and make Vidal pay for\u00a0his entries. I’ll lean toward Creer at +108, but this is a close fight and not one I’m looking to\u00a0bet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BKFC Fight Night<\/strong> Main Event: Bryce Henry (-150) vs Carlos Trinidad-Snake<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> (+124)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bryce Henry is a very experienced boxer and bare-knuckle fighter. He’s tall, has excellent reach,\u00a0works behind a good jab and is surprisingly quick for someone with his frame. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His cardio is\u00a0good, and I also like his head movement. He showed maturity in his last fight when his opponent\u00a0lost control, started going for takedowns and eventually got disqualified.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carlos Trinidad-Snake brings plenty of experience himself. He has quick head movement and\u00a0 does a good job avoiding punches, but he can be relatively low volume. He likes to settle into\u00a0fights, read his opponent and then begin finding his offense. His last two victories coming by\u00a0third-round knockout show how effective he can become once he’s figured an opponent out.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I expect this to be a competitive fight, but Henry’s height and reach should ultimately be the\u00a0difference. He can use his jab to control range and make Trinidad work to get inside. I wouldn’t\u00a0be surprised if this goes all the way to the judges. Henry by decision is the pick.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
