St. Jude Championship Course: Why TPC Southwind Matters for Bettors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The FedEx St. Jude Championship <\/strong>opens the 2026 FedEx Cup Playoffs <\/strong>at TPC Southwind<\/strong>,\u00a0where only the top 70 players on the PGA Tour tee it up in one of the strongest fields of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This par-70 layout measures 7,288 yards <\/strong>and is known for rewarding precision over power. While length is certainly an advantage, success at Southwind comes from finding\u00a0fairways, hitting quality approach shots, and avoiding the numerous water hazards that come into\u00a0 play throughout the round.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TPC Southwind features Bermudagrass greens<\/strong>, tight driving corridors, and some of the\u00a0toughest par-3s on the PGA Tour. Water is in play on 11 holes<\/strong>, meaning one poor swing can\u00a0quickly turn a birdie opportunity into a double bogey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golfers to Avoid Betting at the St. Jude Championship<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

–Matthew Fitzpatrick<\/strong> has finished 32nd, 18th, 66th the last 3 years here, MC last tourney\u00a0 we saw him\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Xander Schauffele<\/strong> has one top 20 finish here last 5 years\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Cameron Young<\/strong> and Viktor Hovland<\/strong> have both lost their putting last 30 days -0.56 total\u00a0 strokes gained\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Ludvig Aberg<\/strong> driving accuracy and putting well below average last 30 days <\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Wyndham Clark<\/strong>\u2019s driving accuracy has completely left him the last 3 tourneys -Alex Fitzpatrick putting last 3 tournaments -1.42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

St. Jude Championship<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>: Best DraftKings DFS Picks for The Open<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sungjae Im ($6,700) <\/strong>looks like an excellent value in this price range. He\u2019s coming off 14th and 15th-place finishes <\/strong>in his last two starts and finished 17th here last year<\/strong>, showing the\u00a0course fits his game. While the iron play hasn\u2019t been at its usual level, he\u2019s made up for it with\u00a0 above-average scrambling and putting. Add in his accuracy off the tee, and he has a great chance\u00a0 to deliver another solid four-round performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacob Bridgeman ($7,200) <\/strong>continues to quietly put together one of the more consistent seasons <\/p>\n\n\n\n

on Tour. He finished 17th here last year <\/strong>and enters this week on three straight Top 30\u00a0 finishes<\/strong>. He isn\u2019t one of the longest hitters in the field, but his driving accuracy is a perfect fit for this course. Over the last 30 days, he ranks in the top half of the field in total strokes gained<\/strong>,\u00a0 making him a strong blend of safety and upside at this salary.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rickie Fowler ($7,500) <\/strong>is playing his best golf in quite a while. He\u2019s finished 8th, 18th, and  15th <\/strong>in his last three tournaments and added a 6th-place finish here last year<\/strong>, giving him both  recent form and course history. The underlying numbers back it up as well, ranking 12th in the  field in total strokes gained <\/strong>over the last 30 days. At this price, Fowler has the upside to  outperform his salary and contend for another top finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
