BKFC Sturgis Predictions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bear Hill (-120) vs. Brady Meister (-120) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bear Hill gets the nod in this evenly lined matchup. Hill is a short, stocky powerhouse who\u00a0 carries real strength and pressure, while Brady Meister is a much taller, lankier fighter who\u00a0struggles with movement and consistently leaves his chin exposed. Meister has built his record\u00a0against weaker competition and has come up short whenever the level of opposition has\u00a0 improved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also doesn’t appear to possess enough power to discourage Hill from marching\u00a0 forward. We already saw a shorter, stockier opponent knock Meister out in his fight with Daniel\u00a0 Trejo, and this matchup has a very similar feel. Hill’s pressure and body work should eventually\u00a0 break Meister down and lead him to victory.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alonzo Martinez (-230) vs. Zeb Vincent (+160) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alonzo Martinez may be 42 years old, but he still fights like a seasoned professional. He remains\u00a0 polished, carries respectable power, and understands how to control the pace of a fight. Zeb\u00a0Vincent has the opposite approach, often wasting energy by arguing with referees, taunting\u00a0opponents, and fighting without much structure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He’s dropped three straight fights and continues\u00a0 to show sloppy footwork with very little game planning. Martinez’s experience and discipline\u00a0 should prove to be the difference, making him one of the easier picks on the card.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shyanna Bintliff (-145) vs. Crystal Pittman (+115) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crystal Pittman looks like one of the best values on the card. She’s faced significantly tougher\u00a0competition throughout her career, has already proven she can maintain her pace over longer fights, and looks much sharper technically than her opponent. Bintliff’s recent wins have come\u00a0against opponents who were on lengthy losing streaks, and she was even knocked down in her\u00a0most recent victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pittman simply appears to be the more polished boxer with better movement\u00a0 and cleaner striking. At plus money, she’s an outstanding value and would still be worth backing\u00a0 even if she were favored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucas Wright (-120) vs. Bryan McDowell (-120) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is one of the tougher fights on the card to handicap because neither fighter has faced much\u00a0quality opposition. Lucas Wright has competed primarily in small boxing events against limited\u00a0competition, making it difficult to know exactly where he stands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bryan McDowell appears to have the edge in experience and brings a solid jab along with an effective blitzing left hand that\u00a0 could create problems for Wright. Wright may come out aggressively early, but if McDowell\u00a0 weathers that initial storm, his cleaner boxing should allow him to pull away as the fight\u00a0 progresses.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clay Collard (-350) vs. Daniel Keepers (+225) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bare-knuckle boxing looks like an ideal fit for Clay Collard. Throughout his MMA career, his\u00a0 biggest weakness was defending takedowns, but that’s no longer a concern here. Collard is an\u00a0 accomplished boxer who throws accurate combinations, moves well, and thrives in striking\u00a0battles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniel Keepers also transitioned from MMA into boxing, but he’s lost three straight\u00a0fights and consistently slows down after the opening round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While he’s capable offensively, he\u00a0tends to get countered too easily during the biggest exchanges. This matchup is tailor-made for\u00a0Collard’s skill set, and he should control the fight from start to finish.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traevon Kroger (-300) vs. KB Dubeau-Staby (+220) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traevon Kroger is the clear pick based on the available information. Kroger has plenty of\u00a0 footage showing a fighter with legitimate power, toughness, and an aggressive style that remains\u00a0under control. In contrast, there is very little information available on KB Dubeau-Staby outside\u00a0 of a single boxing match. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When one fighter has an established track record and the other remains\u00a0 largely unknown, it’s difficult to justify backing the mystery opponent. Kroger should have too\u00a0 much experience and firepower.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art Driscoll (-145) vs. Justin Walter (+105) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neither fighter projects as a future contender, but Art Driscoll has a clear edge. Justin Walter has\u00a0 shown almost no durability throughout his combat sports career, suffering a four-second\u00a0knockout in his debut along with multiple other first-round knockout losses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His reckless style\u00a0continues to leave him exposed. Driscoll isn’t an elite fighter by any means, but he stays\u00a0 composed, has shown durability, and should eventually capitalize on Walter’s defensive\u00a0 mistakes. An early knockout for Driscoll wouldn’t be surprising.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jason Simon (-200) vs. Jason Sanderson (+150) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is another difficult fight to evaluate because neither fighter has professional experience to  draw from. Jason Sanderson hasn’t competed in nearly a decade, making it even harder to know <\/p>\n\n\n\n

what version of him will show up. Jason Simon appears to have the better striking fundamentals\u00a0 and also benefits from fighting in front of a hometown crowd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feels like a favorable\u00a0 matchup designed to help Simon begin his professional career with a victory, making him the\u00a0 slight lean despite the lack of available information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BKFC Sturgis Main Event: Bryant Acheson (-200) vs. Mike Jones (+160)<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mike Jones offers solid value as the underdog in what should be a very competitive main event.\u00a0 Bryant Acheson is a physically imposing fighter with legitimate power and durability, but his\u00a0 biggest concern continues to be his cardio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his last Fusion League appearance, he nearly got\u00a0 stopped in the second round after visibly slowing down, and that weakness could be exposed\u00a0again here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jones is a smooth counter striker with excellent footwork who does his best work\u00a0 when aggressive opponents rush forward recklessly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Acheson has the edge in raw power\u00a0early, Jones’ movement should frustrate him, force him to work harder than he wants, and gradually drain his gas tank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Jones survives the opening round, he should take control with his\u00a0 counters and outwork the tiring favorite. Jones is the underdog pick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
