The Travelers Championship <\/strong>returns to TPC River Highlands <\/strong>in Cromwell, Connecticut, one\u00a0 of the most popular and entertaining stops on the PGA Tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course plays as a par 70\u00a0measuring just under 6,900 yards<\/strong>, making it one of the shorter layouts players see all season.\u00a0While length isn’t a major factor here, precision, smart course management, and a hot putter are\u00a0 essential for success.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TPC River Highlands features generous fairways, several risk-reward holes, and numerous birdie opportunities that allow players to stay aggressive throughout the week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course’s signature\u00a0stretch begins at the drivable par-4 15th and continues through the water-guarded closing holes, creating plenty of late-round drama. Players who can take advantage of the short par-4s and\u00a0 attack with wedges will have a significant edge.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite its reputation as a scoring venue, the course can still punish mistakes. Water comes into\u00a0play on several holes, and the Bentgrass greens require precise approach shots to create quality\u00a0birdie chances. Winning scores are often well into the teens or low 20s under par, making this a\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

tournament where players must stay aggressive while avoiding the costly mistakes that can\u00a0quickly erase a great round. TPC River Highlands rewards confidence, creativity, and strong iron\u00a0play, making it a favorite among both players and fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travelers Championship<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>: Players That Can Trip You Up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Chris Gotterup <\/strong>has a game built around power, but this course doesn\u2019t reward that skill set\u00a0nearly as much as others. He relies heavily on length off the tee, yet his accuracy remains a\u00a0 concern, which can create unnecessary mistakes on a layout that values precision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His lone\u00a0appearance here resulted in a 61st-place finish, and there\u2019s nothing in his profile that suggests a\u00a0 dramatic improvement. Despite that, he\u2019s being priced like a Top 15 golfer this week. I\u2019d be\u00a0 surprised if he cracks the Top 20.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ludvig \u00c5berg <\/strong>continues to be priced based on potential rather than results. His last three\u00a0 finishes of 17th, 39th, and 17th <\/strong>are perfectly respectable, but not the type of performances you\u00a0 expect from someone carrying Top 5 odds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This course has also been a struggle for him, with\u00a0 finishes of 24th, 27th, and 36th <\/strong>in his appearances here. One of his biggest advantages\u2014elite\u00a0 distance off the tee\u2014is largely neutralized on a shorter layout. Until he starts converting talent into wins, I\u2019m happy fading him at these prices.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameron Young <\/strong>looks like a golfer whose best stretch may already be behind him this season.\u00a0 He finished 43rd at the U.S. Open <\/strong>after a 46th-place finish <\/strong>in his previous start, a noticeable\u00a0 drop-off from the form he showed earlier in the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The putter has completely cooled off,\u00a0 losing -0.74 strokes gained <\/strong>over his last two tournaments. Combine that with below-average\u00a0driving accuracy, and there are too many weaknesses for me to trust. This feels like a spot where\u00a0 recent struggles continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travelers Championship<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>: DraftKings Darlings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Taylor Pendrith ($6,400) <\/strong>may not have the flashiest statistical profile, but he checks a lot of\u00a0 boxes for a value play. He\u2019s finished 25th and 23rd <\/strong>here the last two years and comes into the\u00a0week having made six straight cuts<\/strong>. There\u2019s nothing in the numbers that jumps off the page, but\u00a0 there are no glaring weaknesses either. In this price range, safety matters, and Pendrith offers a\u00a0 reliable path to four rounds and solid DFS points.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryan Fox ($6,600) <\/strong>is quietly bringing strong form into the week. He finished 17th here last\u00a0 year <\/strong>and has posted finishes of 23rd, 8th, and 27th <\/strong>in his last three starts. When Fox gets\u00a0rolling, his combination of power and scoring ability can generate plenty of birdies. With recent\u00a0 results trending in the right direction, he looks like a strong value option once again.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gary Woodland ($7,600) <\/strong>continues to be one of the best comeback stories in golf. Following\u00a0brain surgery, he\u2019s put together an incredible season and enters this event off finishes of 7th,\u00a0 36th, and 6th<\/strong>. His driving accuracy has improved, and the putter has been a major weapon, gaining +0.86 strokes <\/strong>over the last 30 days. With form, confidence, and a well-rounded game,\u00a0 Woodland brings legitimate upside at this price point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
