Chelsea vs Lille Analysis<\/h2>\n

Chelsea enter Tuesday\u2019s Round of 16 clash against Lille coming straight off the back of a late Hakim Ziyech winner on Saturday against Crystal Palace to register just their second win in the Premier League over their last six attempts.<\/p>\n

However, in Champions League action they\u2019ve been strong this year, especially at home, where they\u2019ve won all three of their Champions League home games this season at Stamford Bridge to nil in the group stage by an aggregate 9-0 scoreline.<\/p>\n

Lille meanwhile are a long way from the dominant French Ligue 1 champions of last season, currently sitting 11th in Ligue 1, but have played much better on the road this season than at home, losing just one of their last nine inside 90 minutes away from Stade Pierre-Mauroy.<\/p>\n

Chelsea have won each of the last two meetings against Lille by a 2-1 scoreline.<\/p>\n

\u2018Lackluster\u2019 Chelsea<\/h3>\n

Thomas Tuchel was vocal in his criticism yet again on Saturday after Chelsea\u2019s slim 1-0 victory over fellow London side Crystal Palace and it\u2019s a drum the German manager has been continually banging ever since late last season.<\/p>\n

But while that criticism has yet to inspire any great performances out of this Chelsea side of late, the Blues remain an extremely effective unit, coming fresh off their Club World Cup success against Palmeiras last week and remain in single odds figures to repeat their success in this competition as well after a solid group stage showing.<\/p>\n

Lille Shift Focus to Champions League<\/h3>\n

After their unexpected French Ligue 1 title triumph of last season, it\u2019s been a season to forget so far for \u2018Les Dogues\u2019 as they currently find themselves a full 23 points off the pace in Ligue 1 against current league leaders PSG with 13 games still to play.<\/p>\n

The positive for Lille however is that they now get to shift focus to this competition instead, and after topping Group G back in the group stage, they\u2019re now looking for their fourth straight win in Champions League football, including their third straight road win as well, something which has eluded them so far over their Champions League history.<\/p>\n

Chelsea vs Lille Prediction<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s hard to look past anything other than a comprehensive Chelsea win here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

While the Blues aren\u2019t in their greatest form of late, they are an extremely reliable team at home and especially sitting 13 points off Manchester City in the race for the English Premier League title this season, just like Lille, they may view this as their number one priority for silverware moving forward.<\/p>\n

Chelsea have lost just one European game to French opposition in their history and have won each of their last five Champions League games to nil at this venue as well, so taking domestic form out of the equation and this Chelsea side are an extremely dominant team at home.<\/p>\n

Lille haven\u2019t beaten an English team in Champions League football in over a decade and it looks extremely unlikely that streak gets broken here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
