Anduril 250<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> Track: Naval Base Coronado<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Naval Base Coronado street course <\/strong>is one of the most unique\u00a0 tracks on the NASCAR schedule, located on an active military\u00a0 installation in San Diego, California. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The temporary circuit is built on the base\u2019s roads and airfield infrastructure, creating a flat, technical layout that combines long straightaways with tight braking zones and\u00a0challenging corners. Unlike traditional road courses, there is very little\u00a0elevation change, placing a premium on braking performance,\u00a0 acceleration, and track position.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surface is made up of standard asphalt and concrete sections rather than purpose-built racing pavement, meaning grip levels can vary\u00a0significantly throughout the lap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drivers must also navigate painted lines, transitions between surfaces, rail crossings, and bumps that can\u00a0upset the car under braking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several drivers have already commented\u00a0that this could become the toughest and most physically demanding road course on the NASCAR schedule because there are few opportunities to\u00a0relax and mistakes will be heavily punished. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Road course specialists and\u00a0 drivers with strong sports car backgrounds should have an advantage, as\u00a0precision and patience will be more important than outright speed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0combination of a unique military setting, unforgiving layout, and\u00a0constant technical challenges makes Naval Base Coronado one of the\u00a0most anticipated and unpredictable races of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No track history here, so I\u2019ll side with probably the most experienced road course racer in the field. He\u2019s not in the greatest car, but who\u00a0 knows what car setup will work here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several drivers have said this\u00a0 course is going to be brutal to figure out, and I\u2019ll a guy to finish Top 10\u00a0 that has one of the best road course minds in the field. He already has\u00a0 two Top 10 finishes at road courses this season, I think he gets number\u00a0 three this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
