Mississippi State is 15-11 on the season, and 15-11 against the spread. The Bulldogs average 72.6 points per game while giving up 66.5 points per game. Mississippi State still has not won a true road game this season (0-8), with a 3-5 mark against the spread in those road games.<\/p>\n

Travel delays forced Friday\u2019s matchup between these schools to be pushed back to 9:30 p.m., so they\u2019ll be squaring off less than 48 hours later as the Tigers look for revenge following a 68-49 loss. Mizzou was supposed to fly out for the matchup at Mississippi State the previous day but was delayed due to nasty weather, so the team was stuck doing their impression of \u201cPlanes, Trains and Automobiles\u201d to get into Starkville and unsurprisingly looked like zombies out of the gate, finding themselves down double-digits at halftime.<\/p>\n

Ronnie Degray III and Javon Pickett combined for 24 points but the team shot just over 31 percent and finished 3-for-17 from 3-point range. The Bulldogs didn\u2019t shoot the ball very well from beyond the arc either but big Tolu Smith ended up leading four guys in double-figures as the home team won comfortably.<\/p>\n

Missouri vs Mississippi State Prediction<\/h2>\n

Things should be a little different in Columbia since the Tigers are going to be better prepared and will have their legs under them at the outset, not to mention enjoying the revenge factor.<\/p>\n

Mississippi State is the better team and top scorer Iverson Molinar shot 5-for-6 on Friday without looking overly vexed, so they should pull off the sweep and should be able to cover a 4.5-point spread by cementing the result late at the free-throw line. Expect another low-scoring affair as well.<\/p>\n
