| TV:<\/td> | CBS, ESPN+, Golf Channel, Paramount+<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n\nCharles Schwab Challenge<\/strong> Course: Colonial Country Club<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Charles Schwab Challenge <\/strong>returns to historic Colonial Country Club <\/strong>in\u00a0 Fort Worth, one of the most traditional and strategy-driven courses on the PGA\u00a0Tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nKnown as \u201cHogan\u2019s Alley\u201d because of Ben Hogan\u2019s success here, Colonial\u00a0is a classic par-70 layout just over 7,200 yards <\/strong>that rewards precision, patience,\u00a0 and elite iron play far more than raw power.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nTree-lined fairways, doglegs, and tight approach angles force players to carefully\u00a0 position the ball off the tee. Colonial\u2019s small Bentgrass greens place a premium on approach accuracy, and missing in the wrong spots leads to difficult up-and-down\u00a0attempts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n This is a course where players often club down off the tee, prioritizing\u00a0 placement over distance to create the right angles into the greens.\u00a0The famous stretch known as the \u201cHorrible Horseshoe\u201d (holes 3\u20135) <\/strong>is one of the toughest three-hole stretches on Tour and can quickly derail a round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nColonial is rarely a birdie fest \u2014 instead, it rewards players who avoid mistakes, hit quality\u00a0 mid-irons, and stay patient throughout the week. Expect a leaderboard filled with\u00a0 strong ball-strikers and experienced players who thrive on classic golf course\u00a0setups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Charles Schwab Challenge<\/strong>: Players That Can Trip You Up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\nBen Griffin <\/strong>is going to attract a ton of attention as the defending champion, but\u00a0I\u2019m not buying into it this week. Before last year\u2019s win, he finished missed cut and\u00a052nd here, so the long-term course history isn\u2019t exactly impressive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nHis approach\u00a0play this season has been poor, and he\u2019s been completely carried by an\u00a0 unsustainably hot putter at +0.96 strokes gained putting over the last 30 days<\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nWith just one Top 10 finish all year, pricing him as the 4th-highest favorite feels\u00a0 way too aggressive. This has fade written all over it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Robert MacIntyre <\/strong>looked sharp earlier this season at The Players and Valero, but\u00a0 the recent form has completely collapsed. His last four starts: missed cut, 42nd,\u00a060th, missed cut. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nThe stats are ugly across the board over the last 30 days\u2014-0.38\u00a0 putting, -0.40 around the green, and -0.17 on approach<\/strong>. That\u2019s not one weak\u00a0 area, that\u2019s everything trending the wrong direction. He\u2019s simply not playing well\u00a0enough to trust right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nKeith Mitchell <\/strong>finished 5th last week, but the setup played perfectly for his game\u00a0 and this one doesn\u2019t. He could swing freely with driver on a wide-open course\u00a0without getting punished, which isn\u2019t the case here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nEven more concerning, he\u00a0barely gained anything putting (+0.06<\/strong>) and still managed that finish, which feels hard to repeat. Accuracy off the tee remains a major weakness, and this course is\u00a0 much less forgiving. Regression feels very likely this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nCharles Schwab Challenge<\/strong>: DraftKings Darlings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\nJackson Suber ($6,600) <\/strong>looked completely different over the last two tournaments\u00a0after a rough January through April stretch. He finished 19th and then 4th in back to-back weak-field, easy-scoring events, and the underlying numbers were excellent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nHis driving accuracy improved dramatically, while both the approach\u00a0 play and putting were fantastic. If that version of Suber shows up again, this price\u00a0 is way too low.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n John Parry ($7,000) <\/strong>just keeps cashing DFS lineups. Even after last week, he still\u00a0 hasn\u2019t missed a cut all season, and in another weak field there\u2019s no reason to think\u00a0 that changes now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nDistance off the tee is his only real weakness, but this course minimizes that issue. Accuracy matters much more here, and that\u2019s where Parry\u00a0 excels. He\u2019s once again one of the safest value plays on the board.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Eric Cole ($7,200) <\/strong>continues to quietly play excellent golf. His 31st-place finish\u00a0 last week marked four straight made cuts, with two of those finishes landing inside\u00a0 the Top 15. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nOver the last 30 days, he ranks 9th in this field in total strokes gained, showing the all-around game is trending in the right direction. At this price, Cole\u00a0 brings both consistency and upside for DFS builds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n He\u2019s also been playing excellent golf on the Korn Ferry Tour.
