We\u2019re looking at plus-money for a short number tonight in the Central Division bout between the Cavaliers and Bulls taking backup point guard Dennis Schroder over 3.5 assists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Schroder has been carving out a nice role for himself off the bench on a Cavaliers team that has been battling injuries for much of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has gone over this number in three straight games while averaging 4.1 assists in March so far and Chicago giving up the most assists per game to point guards per game on the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Schroder has only gone head-to-head once with the Bulls this season as a member of the Kings back on October 29 and although that was nearly 5 months back, he still had seven assists in that contest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cavaliers rank seventh in assist ratio this season with Chicago actually allowing the third most assists per game overall on the season as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bulls just allowed five assists to Raptors backup point guard Jamal Shead last night and seven assists to Grizzlies backup point guard Cam Spencer in the game before that so let\u2019s take Schroder to be a catalyst off the bench once again for Cleveland going over 3.5 assists at Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: DeMar DeRozan (SAC) Over 23.5 Points + Assists (-125)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s face it, the Kings have been a dumpster fire this season now sitting 18-52 but they do host a 76ers team tonight as we\u2019ll look for veteran DeMar DeRozan to go over 23.5 points + assists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Up until Tuesday\u2019s game against the Spurs DeRozan had been averaging 28 points + assists in March but put up just three points + assists in the 132-104 blowout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He played the least amount of minutes among all Kings players to touch the floor, but that makes sense since this game was out of reach basically from the start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tonight is a much more winnable game against a 76ers team that has given up the second most points and fifth most assists per game to shooting guards over the last 30 days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When these two teams met in Philadelphia back on January 29 DeRozan had 33 points + assists in a 113-111 loss on 60% shooting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the season both Philadelphia and Sacramento rank bottom half of the league in pace but that hasn\u2019t been the case over the last seven games as both sit top seven in pace over that span which should translate to more possessions all around. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s also worth noting that the 76ers rank 21st in defensive rating over their last ten games. With that let\u2019s look for DeRozan to have a bounce back performance going over 23.5 points + assists against the 76ers on Thursday night.
