Both teams were active at the trade deadline, as the Pels acquired CJ Mccollum losing Josh Hart and the Mavs shipped away Kristaps Porzingis and added Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans.<\/p>\n The Mavs come into this game hot as a pistol, winning five of their last six games. Meanwhile, the Pels have lost three of their last four games directly after a four game win streak.<\/p>\n The Mavs have won two of three head-to-head meetings between these teams with the home team prevailing in each game.<\/p>\n New Orleans Pelicans vs Dallas Mavericks Team Prop Totals<\/h3>\nThe spread in this contest is only 2.5 points, so the team totals are near identical with the Mavs at 107.5 and the Pels at 106.5.<\/p>\n The Mavs defense is one of the best in the league, they rank 2nd with only 103 points allowed per game and they have only improved with the addition of Dinwiddie.<\/p>\n The Pels did improve offensively with the addition of McCollum, but still rank 26th with only 106 points a game. The Pels scored 107 twice and 92 points in the third head-to-head game with the Mavericks.<\/p>\n The Mavs have held their last six opponents under 106 points, five of those six scored less than 100. But CJ McCollum has led the team in scoring in all three games with the Pels and Ingrams production has dropped off.<\/p>\n Adding McCollum to Devonte’ Graham in the Pels backcourt makes one of the worst defensive guard combo’s in the entire league.<\/p>\n So the obvious place to look is Luka Doncic, but his number seems a bit high. Instead we look to the starting shooting guard, Jalen Brunson.<\/p>\n Brunsons point total is 17.5 at even money. He has eclipsed this number in six of his last seven games, while scoring 20 or more in four of those games.<\/p>\n He’s also played 37 minutes or more in 5 of his last 7 games. We will confidently roll with his points over.<\/p>\n Player Prop Prediction: Jalen Brunson Over 17.5 Points +100<\/strong><\/p>\n We will start with Jalen Brunson points over, but lower it to 14.5. Since joining the Pelicans, CJ McCollum assist totals have been 7, 5 and 5.<\/p>\n We will add his assist over at 3.5. Luka Doncic has hit 2 three pointers or more in 12 of his last 14 games, seems like a nice addition.
