Farmers Insurance Open Course: Torrey Pines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 Farmers Insurance Open <\/strong>returns to Torrey Pines<\/strong>, with players rotating between the\u00a0North Course and the South Course <\/strong>before finishing the weekend on the demanding South\u00a0Course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The North Course offers more scoring opportunities with wider fairways and shorter\u00a0holes, while the South Course\u2014one of the longest and toughest layouts on the PGA Tour\u2014 features narrow fairways, thick rough, and small, firm greens that reward elite ball-striking.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weather conditions look excellent <\/strong>this week, with no rain and minimal wind<\/strong>, which should\u00a0 soften Torrey Pines\u2019 usual bite and allow players to be more aggressive, especially early in the\u00a0tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even so, the South Course will still separate the field as the week progresses,\u00a0placing a premium on distance off the tee and precise iron play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding to the intrigue, Brooks\u00a0Koepka makes his 2026 debut<\/strong>, giving the event extra star power and setting the stage for a\u00a0strong field and a competitive finish along the cliffs overlooking the Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Farmers Insurance Open: Players That Can Trip You Up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Maverick McNealy <\/strong>is priced way too aggressively as a Top 10 option this week. While he\u00a0finished 2nd last year, that result came at a completely different course and shouldn\u2019t be\u00a0overweighted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this venue, his history is much weaker, with four straight finishes outside the\u00a0Top 30 prior to last year at Torrey Pines. At this number, you\u2019re paying for one outlier result\u00a0rather than a reliable profile. He\u2019s a fade.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keegan Bradley <\/strong>hasn\u2019t shown anything recently to justify backing him here. After the Ryder\u00a0Cup, he finished 13th out of 20 at the Hero World Challenge and then followed it up with a\u00a0missed cut in his first event of the new year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His tee-to-green play over the last two tournaments\u00a0 has been particularly poor, which is concerning given this course setup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s also managed just\u00a0 one Top 15 finish at this event since 2018. That combination makes him an easy fade.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J.J. Spaun <\/strong>is a golfer you want to like, but this isn\u2019t the spot. He struggled in his first tournament of the year, and his course history here is brutal\u2014three missed cuts in his last four\u00a0appearances, despite a 15th-place finish in 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being priced as the 7th-highest betting favorite feels completely disconnected from both his form and history. Until he proves it here, the price alone makes him a fade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Farmers Insurance Open: DraftKings Darlings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Patrick Rodgers ($7,200) <\/strong>is a strong fit for both the course and the price. He\u2019s already shown flashes this season with a 3rd-place finish, and while the follow-up was a 44th, the ceiling is\u00a0clearly there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s made the cut here in each of the last two years, including a 9th-place finish, which checks the course-history box. Add in above-average length off the tee and solid approach\u00a0 play, and Rodgers profiles well for DFS upside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haotong Li ($7,300) <\/strong>comes in with real momentum after an 8th-place finish last week. He\u2019s long and straight off the tee with strong approach numbers, a combination that plays well on this layout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also finished the DP World Tour season in good form, so this doesn\u2019t feel like a fluke\u00a0 week. At this price, you\u2019re getting confidence, ball-striking, and momentum\u2014all DFS-friendly\u00a0traits.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sahith Theegala ($7,400) <\/strong>looks like a bounce-back story in progress after a disappointing 2025\u00a0 season. He\u2019s posted finishes of 31st and 8th the last two weeks and has made the cut every time\u00a0he\u2019s played this tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even more encouraging, he ranks Top 15 in total strokes gained\u00a0across his first two events of the year. The form is trending up, and at $7,400, the upside is very\u00a0real for DFS builds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
