Find out below and get FREE soccer picks<\/a> at WagerTalk now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Aston Villa -125 | Nottingham Forest +340<\/strong><\/strong> | Draw +270<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The two hottest teams in the Premier League across the last two months finally saw their runs come to a crunching halt in midweek as hard-charging Manchester City were held to a surprising 0-0 draw against Sunderland over at the Stadium of Light, while the even more in-form Aston Villa were completely undressed by a sublime second-half performance from front-runners Arsenal down in North London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Gunners put four goals past Villa inside just 30 minutes of Tuesday\u2019s second-half and it will be interesting to see what changes Unai Emery makes ahead of Saturday\u2019s early visit by Forest, especially with the kind of room Trosssard was given to operate in that Arsenal game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nottingham Forest meanwhile slid even further down the table with a disappointing 2-0 loss at home against Everton, their third successive loss in the Premier League, and one manager Sean Dyche can ill afford with only five points (given Forest\u2019s better overall goal difference currently) between themselves and the rest of the relegation trio, namely West Ham, Burnley and Wolves, who reside immediately beneath them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Given all of Nottingham Forest\u2019s current struggles, plus the fact Aston Villa have won ten straight games at home coming into this one, this looks like a great bounceback spot for the Villains on Saturday, and we\u2019re happy to back them to get the outright win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tottenham -120 | Sunderland +350<\/strong><\/strong> | Draw +250<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Black Cats of Sunderland are\u00a0certainly\u00a0living up to the folklore, enjoying some of the best\u00a0\u201cluck\u201d a team could have\u00a0right now as they came off another lopsided xG performance against Manchester City\u00a0in midweek.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sunderland\u2019s last two games have seen them\u00a0get heavily outshone in terms of xG generation,\u00a0with a huge 4.40 to 1.58\u00a0combined xG margin\u00a0deficit across those two\u00a0matchups,\u00a0yet\u00a0it\u2019s doubtful\u00a0many Black Cat\u00a0fans are bothered\u00a0given the\u00a0fact they took home points\u00a0in both games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, while Sunderland have been outgunned when it comes to creating chances, there\u2019s no denying their resilience at the back, grinding out positive results against very good teams despite arguably their best players being out, with the ongoing African Cup of Nations draining away many Premier League starters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tottenham meanwhile have been another team that have been able to churn out positive results in the Premier League of late, beating Crystal Palace in a scrappy 1-0 win last weekend, and then holding Brentford to a 0-0 draw over in West London in midweek also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite both teams\u2019 impressive tenacity in getting results however, both teams\u2019 have struggled offensively of late, with both Spurs and the Black Cats ranking bottom-four in the league in scoring offense since November 1st, as well as bottom-three in offensive xG over that timeframe also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We don\u2019t envision this game being a five-goal thriller like their 2016 matchup. Instead, we\u2019re far more likely to get a much more subdued affair down in the English capital on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Everton +140 | Brentford +220<\/strong> | Draw +210<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n With both teams challenging for European spots currently, Everton were able to leapfrog Brentford in midweek with a 2-0 road win against Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Brentford meanwhile were held to a dull 0-0 draw at home against Tottenham, with just one big chance being created the entire game, something Bees fans will hope can be readily improved upon here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, Brentford have not been good away from home this season, with no team in the Premier League having a bigger overall dropoff from home to road form on the season so far, and it\u2019s difficult to see how 2026 will be much different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Twenty-one of Brentford\u2019s twenty-seven points in the league have come inside the Community Stadium, and away from home, they\u2019ve only managed to beat West Ham and Wolves this season, two of the bottom-three teams in the league.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Everton meanwhile have continued to go from strength-to-strength under club legend David Moyes since his return to Liverpool, ranking as the sixth-best team in the league across the last ten matches, with Everton only losing three times at home all season also, once against Tottenham, Newcastle and Arsenal respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Both Newcastle and Arsenal are top-tier sides on their day, and for whatever reason, Tottenham remain the best team this season away from home, so those three losses can be somewhat justified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, Brentford really aren\u2019t of that caliber, at least based on their road performances, so we\u2019re backing the Toffees to come out with all three points on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n SPECIAL OFFER FOR FIRST TIME SUBSCRIBERS<\/p>\n <\/div>\n Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest | January 3 | 7:30 AM ET<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
