Aliev dominated Joe Solecki last\u00a0 fight, and that\u2019s a far better wrestler than Rock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unless Rock lands something unexpected early, he will be stuck defending takedowns all night. <strong>Aliev by dominant decision or late finish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ismail Naurdiev -186 vs Ryan Loder +144\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loder is a wrestler, but he got dominated and knocked out on the feet in his last fight. Naurdiev doesn\u2019t have huge power, but he\u2019s technical enough to give Loder trouble standing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The concern\u00a0is Naurdiev\u2019s last fight \u2014 he badly poked \u201cThe Iron Turtle\u201d in the eye, then got physically\u00a0 bullied afterward by an injured opponent. With Loder\u2019s wrestling and plus-money price, this\u00a0feels like a live-dog situation.<strong> Loder is the pick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aleksandre Topuria -128 vs Bekzat Almakhan +100\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Almakhan came into the UFC and pushed Umar Nurmagomedov to a competitive decision \u2014 an\u00a0 extremely strong look \u2014 then knocked out the very durable Brad Katona. Topuria looked decent in his debut, but Almakhan seems to have the higher ceiling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His takedowns are cleaner, his striking is improving fast, and I don\u2019t see where Topuria clearly outperforms him. Very close\u00a0fight, but <strong>Almakhan by decision is the pick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tagir Ulanbekov -188 vs Kyoji Horiguchi +146\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Horiguchi has been beating lower-level competition, but his takedowns won\u2019t come as easily\u00a0against Ulanbekov. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Striking is probably close to even, but Ulanbekov has the better minute winning tools with control, clinch work, and round-stealing takedowns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Horiguchi\u2019s style works\u00a0well outside the UFC, but this is a big step up in physicality. <strong>Ulanbekov by decision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AbdulRakhman Yahkyaev -1000 vs Raffael Cerqueira +600\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s not much analysis needed \u2014 Cerqueira is very limited and has lost all three UFC fights\u00a0 decisively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His striking is weak, he offers nothing dangerous on the ground, and he\u2019s likely to be\u00a0cut after this. Yahkyaev should dominate quickly. <strong>Yahkyaev by finish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Luke Riley -260 vs Bogdan Grad +200\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Riley has big power but little ground game, and he\u2019s benefitted from beating opponents not UFC\u00a0caliber. Grad was competitive last fight and only lost because he got taken down late \u2014\u00a0something he won\u2019t need to worry about here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grad moves well, has good volume, and should be\u00a0 able to stay safe and win minutes. I\u2019ll take <strong>Grad to avoid big shots and win a decision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Asu Almabayev -210 vs Alex Perez +162\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Almabayev has elite grappling pressure and only one UFC loss \u2014 to Manel Kape, a top-tier\u00a0striker. Perez has just one win in the last five years, and it came against a checked-out Matheus Nicolau. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perez also suffered a major knee injury in 2023 and hasn\u2019t looked like his old self since.\u00a0Almabayev\u2019s pace, wrestling, and consistency should overwhelm Perez. <strong>Almabayev is the easy\u00a0pick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shamil Gaziev -192 vs Serghei Spivac +148\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Terrible matchup for Spivac \u2014 his game relies on takedowns and top control, but Gaziev is big, strong, and wrestle-heavy enough to neutralize that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaziev should win the striking exchanges comfortably, as Spivac can look lost on the feet. Unless Spivac gets a miracle takedown early,\u00a0this looks one-sided. <strong>Gaziev is the pick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Myktybek Orolbai -215 vs Jack Hermansson +164\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Orolbai is sharp everywhere \u2014 strong wrestling, clean striking, and youth on his side.\u00a0Hermansson is now 37, coming off a KO loss, and his offense looks slower and less dangerous.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His striking isn\u2019t dynamic anymore and he\u2019s no longer a major threat on the ground. Orolbai\u00a0 should look more athletic and fluid and win most exchanges. <strong>Orolbai is the pick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Volkan Oezdemir -250 v Alonzo Menifield +190&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best bet here is fight to go the distance \u2014 both men are durable and low volume. Oezdemir is\u00a0cleaner technically on the feet, while Menifield is the stronger wrestler. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re playing a side,\u00a0 it\u2019s dog or pass, and Menifield can drag this into long clinch exchanges and slow things down.\u00a0Very close fight, but <strong>leaning toward the decision prop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ian Garry -215 vs Belal Muhammad +164\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Love Garry in this matchup. His length and range management will be a real problem for Belal,\u00a0who struggled with the wrestling game of Jack Della Maddalena last fight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belal\u2019s striking is\u00a0predictable and not dangerous enough to win rounds from the outside. Garry\u2019s defensive\u00a0wrestling is excellent, and his fight IQ is elite. <strong>Garry by decision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UFC Fight Night Main Event: Arman Tsarukyan -650 vs Dan Hooker +425<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tsarukyan should have clear advantages everywhere \u2014 wrestling, speed, and shot selection.\u00a0Hooker is always tough and durable, but over five rounds Armen\u2019s pace and pressure will break\u00a0him down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hooker\u2019s willingness to brawl leaves lots of openings for Tsarukyan\u2019s strikes and takedowns.
