The Bills do have a weak run defense, but Woody Marks and Nick Chubb haven’t been lighting the world on fire this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Davis Mills has been throwing the ball a ton with 41 & 45 pass attempts in his two full games and he should see another pass heavy game script as a -.6-point home favorite on a short week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Mills will be playing at home in a temperature-controlled environment, but the sheer volume of his pass attempts will make him vulnerable to throwing a pick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The last time Mills faced Buffalo was in 2021 at Orchard Park in a game where he threw a ridiculous four interceptions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n That has little to do with Thursday night’s game and four might be asking for a bit much, but we just need one to cash this reasonably priced ticket.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n James Cook is coming off back-to-back games where he’s fallen short of this line with 48 yards against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers run defense that ranks 10th against the run (100.4 yds\/game) and 53 yards against a Miami Dolphins run defense that ranks 29th against the run (142.6 yds\/game). <\/p>\n\n\n\n Cook has really been boom or bust with six games where he’s recorded 87+ rushing yards and four games where he’s run for 53 yards or less. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Now Cook faces off against a Houston Texans run defense that ranks #3 against the run with only 87.1 rushing yards allowed per game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In recent weeks, the Texans have held Tony Pollard to 22 yards, Travis Etienne to 58 yards, JK Dobbins to 61 yards and Christian McCaffrey to only 25 yards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We have seen Josh Allen’s rushing yards increase in four straight games as he’s taken matters into his own hands in critical games and that could take away from Cook’s running numbers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Bills are favored by -6 but I expect them to remain aggressive unless this game gets truly out of hand as Buffalo needs this win for potential playoff positioning.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ready to bet on NFL props?
