Atalanta vs Olympiacos Analysis<\/h2>\n

Greek front runners Olympiacos travel to Italy on Thursday to take on a struggling Atalanta side in Bergamo.<\/p>\n

Olympiacos finished second in their group behind Eintracht Frankfurt earlier in the season to qualify for this stage while Atalanta came over from this season\u2019s Champions League after finishing third in their group.<\/p>\n

Olympiacos\u2019 Stellar Home Record<\/h3>\n

Since finishing second in the group stage behind only Eintracht Frankfurt back in December, Olympiacos have been on absolute charge domestically, losing just once over their last 13 games in all and holding a pretty remarkable 69.2% of their opponents to clean sheets over that run as well.<\/p>\n

The Greek side has good form at this level of the competition also, qualifying in three of their last four attempts at this stage, but have lost all three of their most recent European matches against Italian opposition on the road.<\/p>\n

Atalanta Hitting a Bumpy Patch<\/h3>\n

Atalanta had a rough spell in their Champions League group stage qualification earlier in the year.<\/p>\n

\u2018La Dea\u2019 won just one game over that group stage to finish third in the group and find themselves in the Europa League for the first time since 2017\/18, and it hasn\u2019t been much better of late for them either.<\/p>\n

Gasperini\u2019s men rank bottom half in the league on home form this year with just three wins from 12 and are winless over their last five games across all competitions as well.<\/p>\n

Olympiacos vs Atalanta Prediction<\/h2>\n

Atalanta has been known over the last few seasons as one of the most exciting attacking teams in Europe, but that hasn\u2019t been the case this year.<\/p>\n

Atalanta has struggled going forward this season. They\u2019ve scored one goal or less in four of their last six matches overall, they rank 13th in the league on home goals scored since December in Serie A and now find themselves on their longest winless run in over two years.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking at going under the total<\/strong> in this one.<\/p>\n

Olympiacos comes into this one boasting a stellar defensive record that will no doubt be put to the test here against a first-class Italian side, but one nonetheless they should be able to navigate considering the problems Atalanta is currently having up front right now.<\/p>\n

I have a heavy lean towards Olympiacos catching +1.25 on the goal spread, but the stronger play is on the under 2.75 or 3 goals, depending on your sports book, for this game.<\/p>\n
