We\u2019re set for a lefty vs lefty matchup in the Windy City as the Braves and Cubs play the second of their three-game series. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joey Wentz gets the start for Atlanta sporting a 3.02 road ERA compared to a 7.41 home ERA. He hasn\u2019t allowed a first inning run in seven of eight starts this season going against a Cubs team that ranks bottom 10 in the MLB in batting average since the all-star break. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cubs haven\u2019t scored in the first inning in 71% of their home games as they send Shota Imanaga to the mound. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cubs lefty sports a 2.96 home ERA and a 2.65 ERA across five starts in August. He hasn\u2019t allowed a first inning run in 14 of 20 starts on the season with the Braves sitting bottom 10 in team batting average in road games this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both teams will be sending their best pitchers to the mound with Max Fried starting for New York. Fried struggled at the start of August but in his last two starts (13 IP) he has allowed just one run combined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He hasn\u2019t allowed a first inning run in 19 of 27 starts on the season with the Astros failing to score in the first inning in four straight games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019ll send Framer Valdez to the mound sporting a 1.70 home ERA and not allowing a first inning run in 17 of 26 starts on the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valdez struggled early in August but was able to get it back on track in his last start going seven innings while striking out ten against the Rockies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
