Josh Naylor had a solid series over the weekend going 3-10 with a home run and three RBIs as the Mariners now turn their attention to the Padres who make their way to T-Mobile Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lefty JP Sears gets the start for San Diego who hasn\u2019t been as effective against left-handed hitters as you may think allowing them to bat .288 while slugging .513 compared to righties batting .258 against hime while slugging .491. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has allowed 25 home runs in total this season including a home run allowed in six straight starts. Naylor is slugging .500 this month while batting .275 against left-handed pitching this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s also been a much better hitter at home batting .324 while slugging .523 compared to road games batting .240 and slugging .376 on the road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his time with the Diamondbacks this season, Naylor went just 4-18 but two of those four hits were home runs with the Mariners first baseman also going 2-7 with a home run against Sears all-time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rooker is 8-17 with three home runs all-time against Skubal, but Rooker has been successful against most lefties this season batting .320 while slugging .573 against lefties this season compared to a .255 average and .472 slugging percentage against righties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sure, Rooker hasn\u2019t been efficient over the last week, but the Athletics have been on the road where Rooker isn\u2019t as impactful batting .287 at home compared to .253 on the road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skubal has allowed seven of his 13 total home runs on the road pitching 17.1 innings less than he\u2019s pitched at home on the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
