Hawaii vs Stanford Prediction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Former Stanford head coach Troy Taylor was fired in March, and the Cardinal elected to go in a unique direction with Andrew Luck serving as the college version of a general manager and Frank Reich coming in for a one-year stint as the interim coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Reich being a temporary hire, Stanford has put emphasis on experience and maturity and will worry about the development of young players down the line with a full-time head coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sixth-year senior Ben Gulbranson has been named the starting quarterback, and we like that move for Luck and Reich. Gulbranson had 11 starts at Oregon State and wants to be a doctor, so he should be mentally ready to handle the complex playbook from his former-NFL mentors.
