Liverpool -335 | Bournemouth<\/strong> +775 | Draw +520<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Defending champions Liverpool will look for a hot start here on Friday night, looking to become the most successful domestic league side ever if they can register a 21st title in 2025\/26, one better than rivals Manchester United, whom they currently find themselves tied with on 20 titles apiece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That\u2019s a long way in the future, however, and facing them this Friday night is a much more pragmatic problem, namely a Bournemouth side that boasted one of the best defensive records in the league at home last season, allowing just 16 goals all year and tying with both Nottingham Forest and Liverpool for the top spot in that honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Liverpool, however, have strengthened over the summer, spending in excess of \u00a3250 million, while Bournemouth have weakened, with many of their more high-profile stars leaving the club during the off-season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That bodes well for Liverpool ahead of this one, especially with the Reds winning nine of their last twelve Premier League openers, and we\u2019re expecting another fast start from them here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Liverpool owned the joint-lowest failure to score rate on the road at halftime last season, while Bournemouth ranked bottom half in that same category at home. Take the Reds to go into the HT break with the early lead on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Aston Villa +125 | Newcastle<\/strong> +205 | Draw +265<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite an impressive last few seasons for Newcastle overall, all is definitely not well in the Magpies camp ahead of the 2025\/26 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Top-goalscorer, Alexander Isak, is currently not involved with the first-team set-up, at least in terms of training, trying to force a move to champions Liverpool, which is giving manager Eddie Howe no end of headaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Aston Villa, meanwhile, managed to hold on to the majority of their stars, and all looks well in the Birmingham camp ahead of Saturday\u2019s opening game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And that\u2019s likely the way it should be also as Aston Villa go into this weekend\u2019s game unbeaten in 21 straight games at home, including winning all of their last eight as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Defensively, Villa remain strong, with only Chelsea allowing fewer goals at home over the back half of last season than Villa did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With Isak contributing towards 34% of all Newcastle\u2019s goals last season, the joint-highest rate in the league overall, it\u2019s unclear what answers Newcastle will have to that large absence here, and we like Aston Villa to cover early on the draw no bet line at home on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chelsea -175 | Crystal Palace +445 | Draw +335<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Crystal Palace will be full of confidence heading into the new season after not only triumphing in the FA Cup against Manchester City to cap off last season, but also opening this season with a Community Shield victory over Liverpool last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chelsea, meanwhile, enjoyed a jam-packed summer thanks to their recent Club World Cup success, with the downside being that Enzo Maresca\u2019s side have had very little time to down tools and recuperate before the new season begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With a squad as large as Chelsea\u2019s, however, no team is better equipped to deal with rotational issues than the West London side, and we\u2019re expecting them to show that on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chelsea were the strongest team in the league at home across the back half of last season, allowing just seven goals in total, and ranked #1 in both defensive xGA and xPTS also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last season\u2019s 1-1 blunder at home in this venue against Crystal Palace was Chelsea\u2019s only blemish across any of their last nine meetings against the Eagles, and that was a somewhat fortunate draw for Crystal Palace also as Chelsea owned a huge 2.34 to 0.52 xG advantage over them in that game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We\u2019re expecting Chelsea to become genuine title challengers this season, and that starts with a win at home against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
