All-star James Wood had his first multi-hit game since July 3rd yesterday and we think he has a solid chance to build on that success as the Nationals host the Reds once again tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cincinnati sends rookie Chase Burns to the mound who has allowed three home runs in 16 innings pitched on the season and sporting a 10.80 road ERA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two of his three home runs given up have been to lefties while allowing lefties in general to bat .323 on the season to go along with a .548 slugging percentage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At home Wood is batting .276 while posting a .546 slugging percentage and although he\u2019s been cold as of late he\u2019s 8-16 with four doubles against the Reds this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Wood has been cold in general as of late, he still has 24 home runs this season and is batting .321 while slugging .638 in night games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eduardo Rodriguez has struggled mightily across his last two starts combining to pitch 8.1 innings while allowing 12 earned runs including five home runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We think he\u2019s vulnerable to give up another home run or two tonight leading us to take Jose Altuve to hit his 18th home run of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Astros second baseman has been on fire in July batting .365 and slugging .698. He hasn\u2019t been great against lefties in general this season, but that\u2019s not normal for Altuve who hit .370 while slugging .539 against lefties in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Altuve and Rodriguez have crossed paths quite a bit over their career\u2019s with Altuve going 9-27 with two home runs in his career against the Arizona starter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only has Rodriguez been struggling as of late but at home he\u2019s been mediocre at best this season posting a 6.32 ERA while allowing eight home runs in 37 innings pitched. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Rodriguez looking shaky heading in, take Altuve to hit a home run tonight at +560<\/strong> with other Astros batters to take advantage of for a home run include Christian Walker (+450)<\/strong> and Yanier Diaz (+600)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
