NRFI Best Bet Today #1: New York Mets vs Baltimore Orioles (Game 1, -105)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Mets and Orioles got rained out last night resulting in a double header today and we\u2019re going right to the first game for a NRFI to occur between these two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lefty David Peterson starts for New York not allowing a first inning run in 15 of his 17 starts on the season including eight straight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Orioles rank bottom ten in batting average against lefties this season and dead last in slugging percentage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baltimore is the third worst first inning scoring team overall failing to score in 79% of home games this season and are currently riding a 13-game streak in which they\u2019ve failed to score in the first inning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019ll send veteran Charlie Morton to the mound who has held opponents scoreless in the first inning in 10 of his 13 starts on the season and although he sports a 5.12 home ERA this season, over the last 30 days Morton has an ERA of just 2.53. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Tampa Bay Rays vs Boston Red Sox (-105)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

AL East rivals Rays and Red Sox go at it in Boston as we have great value on a NRFI to occur tonight. Taj Bradley gets the start for Tampa Bay and although he has held opponents scoreless in only nine of his 18 starts, six of those have come in his last six starts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Boston has scored 9+ runs each in their last three games (all against the Rockies) they failed to score in the first inning in all of those matchups with Bradley sporting a 4.04 ERA on the road compared to a 5.55 ERA at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walker Buehler gets the nod for Boston tonight who already has a home start against Tampa Bay under his belt going seven innings while allowing three earned runs, holding Tampa Bay scoreless in the first inning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He sports a 3.93 home ERA on the season compared to a 8.66 road ERA and has held current Rays hitters to a collective .209 batting average all time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
