Surely, there\u2019s a bet in here we can win and don\u2019t call me Shirley.<\/p>\n The Big D in Dallas<\/h3>\nDallas has played incredible defense the last three games allowing 86 points to Detroit, 94 to Atlanta, and 98 to Philly and that\u2019s resulted in a three game winning streak and a three game against the spread winning streak.<\/p>\n Doncic is playing great, and the defense held the last three opponents to 19-82 from three point range. Chalk some of it up to bad shooting, but three games in a row tells me they’re doing something right.<\/p>\n Brunson has been playing better and better as the season has gone along and has emerged as a solid second option on the perimeter behind Doncic, and that combo should have success tonight as LA is susceptible to guards as they\u2019ve given up 30 points to Ja Morant and 27 to Jrue Holiday the last two games.<\/p>\n New Look Clippers<\/h3>\nI have the opinion that we don\u2019t see Paul George the rest of the season as his elbow injury puts guys out for the year in other sports, so this current Clippers team may be what we see from them the rest of the year.<\/p>\n It\u2019s tough to take away much from the last two games as they were blown off the court by Milwaukee and Memphis, two of the best teams in the league.<\/p>\n Beating the Lakers by one previous to that is something, but losing by six to the awful Pacers is bad so I can\u2019t say they\u2019re in good form and they are 1-4 against the spread the last five games.<\/p>\n Looking at the numbers from the Memphis game the minutes were evenly spread through the entire roster, and Powell and Covington were two of their top three scorers, but without knowing their exact rotation and them not having a true number one It\u2019s hard to predict where the production will come from.<\/p>\n I expect to see a ton of different lineups and rotations out of them for the foreseeable future as they try and find consistency. Player Props are going to be tough with this team, but I think I know what I want to do with them tonight.<\/p>\n Mavericks vs Clippers Prediction<\/h2>\nI believe this stretch for the Clippers is going to be a lot of rotating guys in and out of the lineup, and that will created inconsistency and struggles at times during games.<\/p>\n Dallas is playing great defense and I expect a smothering effort tonight. The last three games for Dallas haven\u2019t come remotely close to this 215 total, so this under is a solid play for me.<\/p>\n Prediction: Under 215<\/strong><\/p>\n \n \n This is the first of a two-game set in LA played tonight and Saturday at American Airlines Arena, and we have to believe Steve Ballmer is tearing his hair out.<\/p>\n It has to be very frustrated after making a move to take on salary from Portland by acquiring Norman Powell and Robert Covington to promote Tyron Lue\u2019s Clippers scoring punch, only to have the team give up more than 130 points in the two games since and been roughed up like a hedge fund manager that shorted crypto currency in 2016.<\/p>\n The Clips have have been the worst team in the league defensively in the last two games, and while Powell and Covington have led the team 1-2 in scoring, the \u201cothers\u201d have deferred and seen their scoring drop off. Dallas has recovered from straight up losses at Orlando and against OKC and won and covered three straight, including beating hot Eastern teams Philly and Atlanta.<\/p>\n The Mavericks seeming to step up against the higher profile foes of late and have to consider LA high profile despite recent setbacks.<\/p>\n The Clippers are \u201cover\u201d 9-3 last 12, while Dallas has been the king \u201cunder\u201d team at home this season with a 22-6-1 \u201cunder\u201d mark at the American Airlines Arena.<\/p>\n These two split the first 2 meetings this season, both held in LA, with the Clips winning the first and 97-91 while the Mavs bounced back in the 2nd, but those games were way back before Thanksgiving.
