NRFI Best Bet Today #1: New York Mets vs Pittsburgh Pirates (-115)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Mets and Pirates have already squared off three times this season with two of those resulting in a NRFI and only 14 total runs scored in those three matchups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019ll start up another three-game set in Pittsburgh tonight with New York sending lefty David Peterson to the mound. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pirates are bottom five in team batting average on the season and even worse against lefties sitting second to last while hitting just .215 against them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Current Pittsburgh hitters are collectively batting just .210 against Peterson all-time with the Mets lefty not allowing a first inning run in 13 of his 15 starts on the season including six straight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pirates send Mitch Keller to the mound and although he sports a 1-10 record on the season, current Mets batters are hitting just .176 against him all-time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mets have played to a NRFI in seven of their last ten games and sit bottom five in first inning scoring on the road, failing to do so in 78% of those games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keller hasn\u2019t allowed a first inning run in 11 of his 16 starts this season with the Mets failing to score in the first inning in five straight games. NRFI Best Bet Today #2: St. Louis Cardinals vs Cleveland Guardians (-125)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s been 23 innings since the Cardinals last scored a run as we\u2019ll look at a NRFI play in their matchup against the Guardians in Cleveland tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luis Ortiz takes the mound for Cleveland not allowing a first inning run in 11 of his 15 starts on the season including his last five. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He sports a 3.00 home ERA and looked stellar in his last start going six innings while striking out ten although it was against the Athletics. It\u2019s worth noting that the Guardians sit second in NRFI results this season as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cardinals send Sonny Gray to the mound who has been fairly consistent on the season also not allowing a first inning run in 11 of 15 starts and although he looked shaky in his last road start against the Brewers, the Guardians haven\u2019t scored in the first inning in 77% of their games this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jose Ramirez should be at the top of the lineup for Cleveland going just 9-45 all-time against Gray. First pitch for Cardinals vs Guardians goes at 7:10PM ET and odds for a NRFI sitting at -125<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
